The Lint Screen Housing is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. This part holds the lint screen in place, ensuring that lint is effectively captured during the drying cycle. This housing helps maintain dryer efficiency by preventing lint from entering the exhaust system, which can cause blockages and reduce performance.
Causes of a bad lint screen housing can include frequent use, accidental impacts, or heat-related degradation over time.
Symptoms of a bad lint screen housing include:
- Difficulty fitting the lint screen securely
- Lint escaping into the dryer drum or exhaust system
- Visible cracks or breaks in the housing
- Reduced drying efficiency and longer drying times
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
