I opened the washer and replaced the pump. To open the washer: 1. Remove the 2 screws that are different from the others in the top back corners of the machine. That will let you remove the top. 2. Remove the soap tray and its holder. The tray comes out if you depress the tab in the back center. Its holder comes out if you remove the two screws in the front. Replacement mounting bolt for washer counterweights. Secures balance weights to drum assembly. Order when bolt is broken, stripped, or missing.
I took apart the washer to find both of the weight balancers had broken in 2 and were banging around. They had also caused the boot seal to rip. I removed the broken weight balancers and replaced them along with a new boot seal. There was one small spot with the seal wasn't fully attached to the outer drum so I had to take it back apart to fix that minor error on my part. Otherwise, it was a fairly easy fix. Read more

I replaced the main PCB in the back bottom of the washer. Simple exchange of pcb. All I needed was a phillips screwdriver and a second set of hands while all the cabling was moved from the original main pcb to the replacement pcb. Washer works like a charm now. Read more

With all the bouncing around the shocks appeared to be done in but that was not the issue. The key was the balance ring. It had leaked all the fluid out causing all the beads to clump. This caused the drum to wobble wildly and not spin at speed. Getting to the ring to replace it is not a trivial task and took me several hours. Fix water leaks from your washer's drain system. This drain hose assembly channels wastewater properly. Easy DIY repair with back panel removal.
This is an easy fix. Just remove the back panel, remove the hose clamp to pull out the old hose, put the new hose on, make sure the clamp is well centered onto the connection, and return the back panel. Make sure to insert the drain hose into the three plastic guides that prevent the hose from moving around. The Samsung factory did not do this on my original hose, which is why it failed, because it was rubbing against the tub support and it wore a hole into the hose. I am going to complain... Read more
