I took the door assembly apart by removing the 7 screws on the inner door and the 2 on the striker. I removed the hinge from the washer so that I could place it inside the door when I put it back together. This is much easier then trying to reassemble the door while the hinge is attached to the machine. Once I lined up all of the pieces properly, I screwed it back together and remounted the striker. Replaced lid switch and lid magnet. Took just a little longer then 20 minutes as I had to splice in the new lid switch as it wasn't one that was a clip in, it was hard wired in. Read more

Speed Queen is out of stock in the washer door for this model and the appliance repair company said it was on back order indefinitely. I had saved the broken door so I ordered the inner plastic liner and the glass separately and used the saved outer door part and the screws and bracket and the mechanism that inserts into the machine itself to lock the door in place and sandwiched everything together and after a few attempts at the correct order of putting it all together, managed to get it...
