Noticed Rolls on the top shelf no longer frozen, though the meat around it still was. Note: This is a good test, keep something that thaws quickly and is not expensive on top shelf, to act as a barometer for your freezer health! I first found a trip online to advance the defrost timer, as a failed timer is a common issue. I advanced the timer, but nothing happened. I emptied the freezer, then removed the thermostat and tested it. No continuity! With the Freezer continuing to thaw, I... Read more

Ordered a new seal, and replaced it with a new one freezer works great now. Read more
The Door Gasket is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It is responsible for creating an airtight seal around the refrigerator or freezer door, preventing cold air from escaping and maintaining the appliance's efficiency.
You should replace this door gasket if it becomes worn out or damaged. Causes of a bad door gasket can include regular wear and tear, exposure to temperature fluctuations, or accidental tearing. A compromised gasket can lead to energy inefficiency and increased strain on the refrigerator's cooling system.
Symptoms of a bad Door Gasket include:
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.
I replaced the door gasket and the defrost timer. While I had it shut down, I replaced the temperature control also. Read more
The Evaporator Fan Blade is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators, designed to circulate air over the refrigerator coils and through the food compartment. The fan blade works in conjunction with the evaporator fan motor, and together, they play a key role in the cooling process by distributing cool air evenly throughout the refrigerator and freezer.
Causes of a bad evaporator fan blade can include physical damage, such as cracks or bends in the blade itself, which can occur over time due to wear and tear or during cleaning and maintenance.
Symptoms of a bad Evaporator Fan Blade include:
This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.
1. After hearing a loud noise on the freezer side of unit about halfway up, I started investigating what it could be? My conclusion was evaporator motor or evaporator fan blade. One of the signs of this issue was a distinct change in sound when I opened the freezer door. I ordered a new motor and blade, not knowing exactly what it was. 2. I couldn't get water to dispense, so I changed the filter and that wasn't the problem. I ordered a water valve and crossed my fingers. These parts arrived... Read more
The Fan Motor Evaporator 115V is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It is a vital component responsible for circulating air and maintaining proper cooling and airflow within the refrigerator compartment.
Symptoms of a need to replace the fan motor evaporator:
Causes of a faulty fan motor evaporator include wear and tear over time, bearing failure, electrical malfunctions, or obstructions preventing proper airflow.
Replaced the control panel and evaporator fan. Read more
The Door switch is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire refrigerators. This part turns the light on/off as the door opens and closes. Causes of a faulty door switch include normal wear of electrical contacts from repetitive on/off cycles. Moisture exposure may potentially corrode internal connections. Symptoms of a bad light/switch include:
This Frigidaire OEM replacement part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and some Kenmore models.
REPLACED THE LIGHT/LAMP SWITCH. Read more
The Refrigerator Door Gasket Clips are OEM parts for Frigidaire refrigerators. These clips secure the door gasket in place, ensuring a tight seal to maintain the internal temperature and prevent cold air from escaping. This pack contains 40 clips, which secure the interior trim pieces and hold the gasket and liner to the freezer lid.
Over time, the gasket clips can become damaged or worn out due to frequent opening and closing of the refrigerator door, exposure to moisture, or accidental impacts. If the clips fail, the door gasket may not stay in place, compromising the refrigerator's efficiency.
Symptoms of bad refrigerator door gasket clips include:
The Door Handle Screw is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. This screw secures the door handle to the refrigerator door, ensuring a firm and stable grip for opening and closing the door.
Causes of a bad door handle screw can include regular wear and tear from frequent use, corrosion due to exposure to moisture, or damage from over-tightening or stripping. A faulty screw can lead to a loose or wobbly door handle, making it difficult to operate the refrigerator.
Symptoms of a bad door handle screw include:
I ordered a replacement handle and screws. The process was very easy with the help of one of your "pros" who found all the parts needed and took my order. I didn't realize I was getting both a refrigerator door handle and a freezer door handle in one set, but now we have the freezer handle if we need it. Removing the old handle and installing the replacement was very easy. It looks great, in fact the replacement is metal, whereas the original was plastic, so it looks better than it ever did! This assembly also includes a defrost thermostat, which monitors the temperature and ensures that the heater operates as needed.
Common causes of a bad defrost heater include electrical failures, damage from ice accumulation, and general wear from repeated heating cycles.
Symptoms of a bad defrost heater include:
I tested the fan outside of the freezer with an adapted direct plug-in cord and it ran fine. I tested the controller tsd it was within the good range along with the run capacitor and it tested good as well. I then tested the compressor resistance, it tested good, although the compressor could have been mechanically bad, it wasn't and I don't know of a way to test for it. I found a youtube video and tested the defrost control which seemed to be bad. Then I tested the control-temperature... Read more
