This phase control board is the power module that drives designated surface elements on compatible cooktops. It regulates power and communicates with the main control to deliver steady heat, restoring proper heating performance when the original module fails. What it does:
I replaced the Board-Phas and speed control plate since power was not making it to the motor. When I received the speed control plate it had nuts on the upper screws with springs, since my old one didn't have nuts I assumed that the nuts were to keep the springs on until installed. After putting it back together, I noticed that though it worked, the first two settings did nothing. Now, guys, I was desperate, OK. I downloaded the service manual and read it from front to back, and when I got to... Read more
Fixes refrigerator not cooling, defrost issues, or temperature control problems. This electronic control board regulates all major functions.
Distributes power to control and heating circuits. Replace when board is damaged, failed, or non-responsive. Installs at bottom of cooktop unit.
I repaired the problem by replacing the Power Board assembly and the daughter relay board. Not sure which one was the problem. Since I had it apart I replaced both. So far the unit is working like new. Everything was plug in, so I didn't have to worry about complex wiring. I took pictures prior to disassembly to make sure I got the reassembly right. Worth the effort to fix it- very satisfying. Read more

Dishwasher won't start, stops mid-cycle, or won't advance? Replace the main control board to restore proper cycle operation. Moderate DIY repair.
Turn off power to machine, Take off door panel - 12 screws. hold up door panel a bit and make sure to remove the ribbon from the touch pad to the control module (use some pliers to rock it out of the board). Since I was changing the Module, I just removed the 1 screw that held it in place and it gave me some more room to get my hands in there and remove all the wiring freeing up the board to remove the touch pad ribbon last (I didn't want to tear it because I was not replacing it and after 9... Fix a dryer that won't advance, runs continuously, or stops unexpectedly. This timer controls cycle progression and power routing. 15-minute DIY repair.
Just as the folks in the comments section said, I tested everything to make sure the timer had power which it did. I then tested with the OHM tester and saw that the switch was open when the timer was set to any drying cycle. So i changed the timer and voila! timer is functioning again. It was a very easy fix. Just pop the four screws out of the back of my timer panel on the dryer, detach all the wires, lift up on the little bracket that is holding the timer in place and twist it, and it... Read more
Fix frost buildup and warm temps in your freezer with a new defrost timer. Restores automatic defrost cycles. Straightforward DIY repair.
Replaced the defrost timer. It was not located where the parts explode suggested in the thermostat control box which is located in the upper right corner of the liner. It was in fact outside the freezer compartment on the back lower left support (when looking at the back of the freezer). It is secured with 2 sheet metal screws with a 1/4 hex head. The manual override dial is visible through a punched hole in that support. Just remove the 2 screws, disconnect the electrical connector. Then... Read more

I called AppliancePartsPros and gave them the detail of my problem and that I thought that the timer may be bad. The service, price, and time to get the part was great and I... Read more
This main power control board is the appliance's central electronic module. It routes incoming power and coordinates key functions so the unit powers up, runs, and responds to controls as designed, restoring reliable operation when the original board fails. What it does:
I order both boards because everyone said one board did not fix the problem, until they ordered the other board because the new board does not communicate with new one. Well I replaced the board behind where the error was. That seemed to fix the problem. I never changed the main board under the fridge. So I would say try ordering the board behind where error code is. See if that fixes the problem before ordering both boards. Read more
