Just as the folks in the comments section said, I tested everything to make sure the timer had power which it did. I then tested with the OHM tester and saw that the switch was open when the timer was set to any drying cycle. So i changed the timer and voila! timer is functioning again. It was a very easy fix. Got help from the internet to diagnose the problem. Seens that the neutral drain part of the transmission will not shift to spin unless there is a pause after draining. Thought the problem might be in the transmission but found the timer wasn;t allowing a pause after draining.therefore the machine would not spin. Replaced the timer and problem was solved.
