After unplugging the washer from the electrical outlet, the top of the washer was removed without a problem in order to allow easy access to the Central Control Unit (CCU) at the top of the back end of the washer. I don’t think I needed the capacitor and relay, but while I was at it I figured I would. Originally we found we had an issue when water cane out of the ice maker. The freezer was hovering around freezing and the refrigerator was about 33 deg. I unplugged the refrigerator and it came back on and ran about a day. The next night, same thing. Replace the inverter and pc board noticed the pc board had a bulging capacitor so replaced it while I was at it. Both were simple fixes. Taking less than 45 total. Read more

I called a local appliance service person, who diagnosed the problem as a bad main power board and offered to fix it for a substantial sum. I found the part on Appliance Parts Pros and found it on my doorstep 2 days later (even though I only used the standard shipping option). Ordered a new Oven Control unit and an Overlay (ours was punctured in a few places -- old and brittle). Opened the stovetop and removed some screws from the front control panel area. Followed the advice from Appliance Parts Pros' video to take a photo of the locations of all the connections on the old panel before removal -- that was an instrumental step to the success of this project! Got help from the internet to diagnose the problem. Seens that the neutral drain part of the transmission will not shift to spin unless there is a pause after draining. Thought the problem might be in the transmission but found the timer wasn;t allowing a pause after draining.therefore the machine would not spin. Replaced the timer and problem was solved. My dishwasher just stopped working one day. I know my way around tools but wouldn’t call myself a “handyman“. I ordered the timer and knob on Monday, they arrived around noon on Tuesday, and within an hour I had them installed and back in business. I was amazed how quickly the parts got here. The online video showing the procedure step by step was very helpful.
