Gerald F Crowley , LA May 09, 2016 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW57ESVW1 I have an older whirlpool top load washer that would not fill properly By reviewing comments made by other owners of the same model washer, it was determined that the temperature switch was the culprit. From watching a YouTube video that demonstrated the replacement of this part, I decided to take the repair on myself. The part was received in 2 days as promised (I paid for express shipping). From the time I turned off the water to the washer, I was in and out in less that 15 minutes. Saved myself $150 for a service call. Also, what I paid for the part, plus expedited shipping, was less that my local part supplier wanted for the same part. Time well spent. By the way, the only tool required was a putty knife, to release the control panel from the machine cabinet. Martin H Robbinsville Township , NJ November 27, 2023 Appliance: Maytag Washer MVWC6ESWW1 Fixed a variety of issues agitating while filling then not sensing water level. This was part of what seemed like a total restoration of my washer. It started out with the machine agitating while filling. But as I tried to disassemble it I uncovered a variety of stuck, and rusted parts that I also replaced. One major lesson I learned was not to buy knock-off replacements. The first ATC/LS switch I got was faulty and caused me to hunt for other causes. I replaced the timer, timer delay, transmission, water pump, flow sensor, pressure hose, etc. Lesson learned: Buy genuine OEM parts. They cost more but minimize the risk of replacing a bad part with a faulty one. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers

Charles B Langhorne , PA December 11, 2022 Washer would start to agitate while filling then would start filling again after last spin cycle. After talking to April from ApplianacePartsPros.com(who was very helpful) and reading all the other posts with similar issues. I learned that the temp control switch also contained the water level sensor, When I took the control panel off the first time I didn't see anything wrong, made sure the level tube was clear, After snapping the control panel back in place I did a load of wash, the washer acted differently but still not right, it was then that I realized that after I had done an overloaded load of wash was when the unit stopped working right, I thought that maybe the level sensor saw pressures it hadn't seen and got stuck in the wrong rest position, and when I banged the control panel around it made go back to almost the right rest position. So I bought the temperature/ load level switch and it fixed the machine. just a note some of the posts mentioned changing two parts at the same time, that's not a wise move, In my case the level sensor and the washer was responding to the wrong inputs Read More...
