First of all, thank you to AppliancePartsPros.com for that excellent video on how to replace the sump. I had a leak from my 4-year old KitchenAid dishwasher (apparently Whirlpool owns and makes many different brands- Maytag, Jenn-Air, etc.) from the bottom. Unfortunately, most of the water will be absorbed by the insulation used for sound reduction so you won't notice a leak until water seeps out the bottom. The leak came from the diverter and so I replaced the entire sump.
As someone had mentioned in a comment, do yourself a favor and buy a new clamp for the discharge hose. The clamp I replaced was an older model and really isn't meant for more than one-time use.
After following the video, I replaced the sump and thankfully I am now leak free. One last bit of advice...I would buy a leak detector (about $30 - $70) to put at the bottom of your dishwasher. It's a nice piece of insurance to detect any future leaks.
