• Little to no heat when broiling

I needed to replace the oven broil element on my 15 year old GE range/oven unit. The broil element was broken in half during an oven self-cleaning cycle. Due to the age of the oven, I decided to replace both the broil and bake elements. I ordered the elements from Appliance Parts Pro. So, in the process of a kitchen remodel my GC managed to lose *both* of the rear plastic supports for my GE stove! The drawer was totally unsupported without the brackets. I managed to find them on your site and see that they were a new and better design (rear mount with screw vs side mount and no firm mounting). The install was a snap and the brackets work excellent. Initially I replaced the rear drum bearing assembly. I searched all over for a good how-to video and came across the Appliance Pros tutorial on YouTube. It was by far the easiest to understand with the added bonus that AP had the parts I needed. I had never done this before, but using the video as my guide I was able to replace the rear bearing assembly in about an hour and a half. I ordered the three parts listed and now my oven is beautiful, functional and like new again. I first had to figure out that the original parts are no longer available and had to perform an oven upgrade. Obviously the original design was flawed and the new design works perfectly and looks great! The whole repair cost was about $328 with shipping included. I searched the internet and found the conversion kit to LP gas at Appliancepartspros.com. their price was the least expensive. The instructions were excellent in describing the removal of the nat. gas orifice and replacement with LP orifice. The part was delivered 3 days after ordered by Fed Ex., a speedy delivery! This damper was added to the outside vent duct line as an additional block against outside air intrusion. All parts arrived in one box - I purchased the tub gasket, lower door gasket and lower door seal. My existing parts were visibly pretty worn out, dishwasher is 12 years old (maybe should have just bought anew one?). Tub gasket was pretty easy, it took me a while to make sure it was even all the way around, after attest run and the subsequent drying heat it fits nicely. Our GE was installed about 8 years ago and was AWESOME for much of its early life. However, progressively its cleaning ability diminished. By replacing all the spray arms (clogged with debris), filters, drain hose, and sump...this dishwasher cleans like it did when it was new! Cost was around $100 (also replaced a wheel and the silverware basket) and labor was relatively simple. And to think...my mother-in-law said, "Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a new one?!?". I ordered both hinges (if the nylon roller was bad on the left, it was probably going to go bad on the right side as well). The web site was easy to navigate, order process simple. Hinges arrived quickly. Slide the oven door up and off. unscrew the three screws for the hinge. You need to then pull up with some force (there is a big spring in there), and twist the hinge to get the last bit out. The main conduit was broken and the pump connector had a hole in it. The pump also was showing signs of leaking. I completely disassembled the dishwasher cleaned everything and reassembled. The repair videos are a big help. Thank you. Read more

These gaskets (seals) are friction held in a groove and just pull out by hand. The new ones simply can be pushed back into the groove by using your fingers to go around and work them in. Pull a corner of the old one out and push it back in to see how the fit. The gaskets need warming and softening with a hair dryer to straighten after arrival for correct shape, better fit, workability, and to regain their shape, but this is a simple job.
