After looking at several YouTube videos, we decided we could attempt to fix this ourselves. We found the easiest video to follow from Appliance Parts, and ordered the clips and lid switch assembly (the clips we had to replace because we goofed that one ourselves). I looked inside and saw the teeth were worn off the "dogs" so I purchased the Cam Agitator repair kit and a new bolt. Getting the old bolt out was the hardest part since it was worn and rusted. I ended up having to buy a set of socket extensions and a set of stripped bolt sockets so $45 in tools and it took me an hour to get the old bolt out but putting everything back together was a breeze. Started out as a replacement of the coupling between the motor and the basket transmission ( 2 of the 3 legs on the transmission side broken.. )... Bought a new pump, since I would have it off... or so I thought.. Metal output shaft into pump + years of moisture = pump rusted on. Put it all back together - runs fine... for a while.. This was the second attempt at fixing this problem. The first repair and parts were generated by listing the problem and reviewing the potential corrections, listed on the web site. From making repairs on other clothes washers, I was confident that some of those potential causes could have been the cause. Im not a repairman, so all my knowledge to fix my washer came from either youtube or online chats. I posted this to help the next dad trying to save a few bucks. Door sensor...
