Replaced the water tube that went from the plastic tubing to the ice cube tray. Found that even though it was the same exact length as the original, there was only an extremely small gap from the end of the tube to a splash board. This may have been the root cause of my problems. Read more

Tested start relay and fan with multimeter both passed. The condenser would start only if the thermostat was on the highest setting and the refrigerator would cool for a while, stop and not restart unless I adjusted the defrost timer. Decided to replace the thermostat, defrost timer and defrost thermostat. The refrigerator is working as expected. FYI on a Kenmore 59669142992 the defrost timer is located under the freezer in the front right. Read more

Let there be light! Easy change out and what a difference light makes! I had waited so long I got used to the fridge having only the top light and after changing out the bulbs -- well it is so good to see what is in the back of the fridge again! I removed both basket guides, removed the ice cube maker then removed the back wall panel, all only taking around 10 min. This gave me access to the fan, removed 2 more screws, disconnected 3 wires, all with connectors, then went in reverse to install new fan. 1/4" nut driver and a pair of needle nose pliers is all you need. The pliers are to remove the plastic wire keepers on the fan. Read more
