The dishwasher circulation pump motor assembly powers the pump that pressurizes water and pushes it up through the spray arms to clean your dishes. This water collection chamber sits at the bottom of the dishwasher tub and houses the wash pump and drain components. It collects wash water and directs it through the cleaning system during cycles. Replaced with a new Inlet Sump [WD18X213]. It was a little tedious, attaching the Inlet Sump, back to the pump, because I did the job with the dishwasher in place (not pulled out). My dishwasher was plumbed with copper pipe, so I really didn't want to upset that.
