For Frigidaire Dispenser Control Board (Part Number: OEM11880183)

Hello Don, This sounds like a possible harness issue. I would check the harness at the door hinge first for the issue since this is a common issue where the harness bends every time the door is opened and closed.

Hello Bob. You need to remove the front cover off the dispenser on the freezer door to access and replace the dispenser control board 241708309.

Jim C. for Model Number GLHS66EJSBO

I have a Frigidaire Model # GLHS66EJSB0 refrigerator. There was a power outage and when restored, the ice maker only dispenses crushed ice but makes a very loud noise like an internal mechanism is breaking apart! Water dispenser works normally. I've replaced both the Crushed/Cubed Ice Solenoid and the augur motor but the problem wasn't resolved. Ice maker makes ice, and with the freezer door ajar, when I rotate the control rod manually (under the ice container) cubed ice falls from the ice container but doesn't dispense from the door.

Hello Jim, This is mosty likely the main power dispenser control board 241708202. Check all connections including the one at the freezer door hinge and the ribbon cable before ordering parts.

Will, The 241708309 Dispenser Control Board is the most likely problem, based on your post information. It has miniature buttons on it, that when pressed to close the circuit and activate the relays on the Power Control Board to activate the auger motor and shifter solenoid to dispense crushed or cubed ice. If the switch doesn't set and lock in place, or the board circuits don't remain completed, the control will revert back to the original selection.

Cold hands, You will want to check the dispenser lever for the ice and make sure that there is no damage to the lever and that it is making contact with the switch when it is pushed in. If the lever is making contact with the switch then the issue would most likely be in the switch and not the control board.

Diy Dan, You will want to take the kickplate off and disconnect the water line at the bottom of the door. After it is disconnected, push the water dispenser lever and see if water comes from the tube that comes from under the unit. If there is water that comes out then the water line in the door is frozen and will need to be thawed.

Terri for Model Number 25355699407

I was fixing a cosmetic freezer door problem which was caused by the ice/water dispenser leaking water which resulted in bubbling out of paint and rusting the door. When I removed the faceplate for the dispenser, I accidentally disconnected the ribbon which connects the two control boards. When I reconnected (without turning off the power - my bad), the ice maker auger will not stop turning, dumping ice into the external chute. I've removed the microswitches completely, but if both boards are connected by the ribbon cable, the auger will not shut off. I was about to order both boards (241708309 and 241689101) when I saw a question from a user who had the same problem and replaced both boards, and this didn't fix it. A response on this site suggested testing a wiring harness at the bottom of the door for a short. I am wondering if this could apply to my model, and also how to do this, and wondering if I can do this before I order and try the boards (and if not, if the boards are indeed returnable if they don't fix the problem). Thanks

Hello Terri, This does apply to your unit and the wiring harness 240552102 is at the bottom freezer door. The connector should be checked for moisture, discoloration, and malformation from heat, (heat is produced by a loose or shorting connection). All of the parts we sell are refundable for one year from the date of delivery with the exception of the shipping charge. Simply call us and give the model and serial number of the unit the part was for, and our representative can set up a return authorization.
