Curt August 10, 2013 for Model Number FEF336FMC This range top and clock work fine, but the oven nor the broiler will work. Does this sound like the oven control board?
1 Answer Curt, Yes, this issue does sound like it could be a control board issue but you could test the unit by accessing the elements from the rear of the unit. Disconnect the power and take one wire off the bake element. Plug the unit back in and check for 120 volts on both wires that go to the element. If one side does not have power then check to make sure that the wiring is good and if it is on the L2 side then you will need to trace back to the terminal block. If the there is no power on the L1 side and the wiring checks ok then the control board is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Sam July 21, 2013 for Model Number FEF336ECC I have the frigidaire FEF336ECC electric range model. The clock is working, and so are the lights. However, baking, broiling and the surface elements never heat up. There is obviously electricity otherwise the clock wouldn't display the time. How do I do about diagnosing the issue, and replacing the needed part?
1 Answer Sam, This issue will be cause by an error on the L2 side of the circuit. The first place that you will want to check is at the terminal block. Check from each of the outer terminals to the center terminal for 120 vac. If one side does not have 120 vac then check at the power receptacle for 120 vac to neutral. If there is 120 vac to each leg then the power cord would be the issue. If there is only 1 leg that has 120 vac then there is a home electrical issue. If there is 120 vac on each leg of the terminal block then you will need to check your wiring in the unit. Read More...
William July 11, 2013 for Model Number JBP6480B4AD Oven comes on and both elements are heating but it never goes to or maintains the baking temp needed. A 20 min. Baking time can run into over an hour or more. It is not even consistent at being slow. Ha!
1 Answer Hello William. If both elements are getting red hot, then you need to replace the control on the unit. If not red hot, either voltage or bad element in the unit. Read More...

Robert H March 17, 2013 for Model Number PLES389DCC Oven was set to 400. Got F1 error and beeping. Turned power off to stop beeping. Now oven will turn on if requested temp not met but will not turn off at requested temp. Once element (bottom) is on it won't shut down. Also only lower element comes on and display does not show element on.
1 Answer Robert, The F1 error code indicates a runaway temperature. With the oven overheating you will want to test the oven sensor 316217002 for 1090 ohms of resistance and if outside this range then you would need to replace the oven sensor. The oven control 316272204 is also faulty and will need to be replaced. Read More...
