Keith August 05, 2015 for Model Number 253.51693105 Fridge is too cold, the damper is not closing can I test the thermostat somehow?
1 Answer Hello Keith. You can turn the control down and see if the contacts open. If not, the control is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Omar January 21, 2015 for Model Number Frigidaire GLRS64ZEQO My freezer not freeze things are cold but not frozen thing.
1 Answer Hello Omar. Check and make sure the condenser fan motor is running properly. If so, and the condenser coils are clean, then it sounds like a sealed system failure and you will need an HVAC tech to repair the unit. Read More...

Rod508 July 06, 2014 for Model Number FRS6R5ESBE My Frigidaire side by side is not cooling properly. I have replaced control board. Compressor, condenser fan, and evaporator are running, goes into defrost regularly. I'm only seeing frost accumulation at the small metal wiring at the inlet to the evaporator. The frost stops at the first curve in the evaporator coil. Is this a temperature control problem?
1 Answer Rod508, Unfortunately the frost pattern that you have is going to indicate a sealed system problem. The issue will not be the compressor but rather a leak in the system or a restriction which would most likely be in the evaporator. Read More...
John N. May 14, 2014 for Model Number plhs267zcb2 My freezer will freeze up the coils in the back of the freezer then the defrost coils kick on and stays on too long to where it melted the bottom basket in the freezer, then the freezer will kick back on and freeze up again and repeat. I replaced the defrost thermostat and checked the drain but no change.
1 Answer Hello John, This means that you most likely have a short in the wiring harness so the neutral is not being dis-connected from the circuit, allowing the heater to remain energized. This will need to be located with a test meter while the unit is in defrost. Read More...
Mike E May 04, 2014 for Model Number Frs23h5asb8 Fan goes on and off, refrigerator will not get cold, freezer is cold but has ice build up in back of shelves.
1 Answer Mike, With the fan cycling on and off the issue would most likely be in the adaptive defrost control board. This control board in conjunction with the thermostat operates the different functions of the unit. The ADC board needed would be part number 5303918476. Read More...
Lorenzo April 29, 2014 for Model Number FRS6LE4FW5 Evaporator fan and Condensor does not turn but refrigerator light is on. No cooling at all. Only light is on
1 Answer Hello Lorenzo. Either the cold control that turns the unit on and off is bad or the unit is stuck in the defrost cycle and the board 242011001 is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
