Al, If you turn off the refrigerator side then the damper should close. If the damper is not closing and opening when turned back on then the damper would be faulty and need replaced.

Hello Omar. Check and make sure the condenser fan motor is running properly. If so, and the condenser coils are clean, then it sounds like a sealed system failure and you will need an HVAC tech to repair the unit.

Rod508, Unfortunately the frost pattern that you have is going to indicate a sealed system problem. The issue will not be the compressor but rather a leak in the system or a restriction which would most likely be in the evaporator.

Hello John, This means that you most likely have a short in the wiring harness so the neutral is not being dis-connected from the circuit, allowing the heater to remain energized. This will need to be located with a test meter while the unit is in defrost.

Mike, With the fan cycling on and off the issue would most likely be in the adaptive defrost control board. This control board in conjunction with the thermostat operates the different functions of the unit. The ADC board needed would be part number 5303918476.
