Paul April 07, 2014 I have a Frigidaire FTF2140ES3. The machine stops during the wash cycle and will not drain or go into high speed rinse. Is this a control board issue?
1 Answer Hello Paul, This is usually caused by debris in the drain in front of the drain pump. If you have already removed the hose between the drain pump and the outer tub and it is clear, you should check the drain pump impeller to ensure the impeller has not separated from the drain pump motor shaft. If this is good, the unit needs a diagnostic test run on it. This will pull fault codes and show what part of the unit will require attention. This is fully explained on the tech sheet found in the manila envelope in the base of the machine. The fault codes are also defined on this sheet. Read More...
Jose March 15, 2014 for Model Number GLTF2940FS1 Hi ordered the main control board for my frigidaire washing machine but it didnt make a difference wondering if AP3891780 part would help with error code e56. Thanks
1 Answer Jose, With the unit having e56 error code, this would indicate a high motor current. You will want to check the following: 1. Remove the belt from the motor and spin the motor pulley. Does the motor spin free? No, replace the motor. Yes, go to step (3). 2. Spin the tub pulley. Does the tub spin free? No, check the tub bearings. Yes, go to step (3). 3. Disconnect the plug from the motor and measure the resistance of the windings (pin 1 to 2, pin 1 to 3, pin 2 to 3). All readings should be between 4 and 6 ohms. If readings are correct, replace the Speed Control Board. If readings are incorrect, replace the motor. If it is determined that the speed control board is faulty then the speed control is part number 134743500. Read More...
1 Answer Jose, This control board 134743500 is the one that controls the motor speed. If you are having an issue with the unit not spinning at top speed you will first want to check the door latch assembly then using the tech sheet you will want to test the motor and the speed control board. 1 Answer Jose, The speed control is what controls the speed of the motor from low or high. The main control will control all aspects of the unit. Read More...
1 Answer Jose, The error code would be a e5e. This error code is a communication issue. Communication problem. Check the wiring between the Main Control Board and the Speed Control Board. Mitch February 11, 2014 I have a Frigidaire affinity front load washer. It rises, turns/agitates but will not spin. I ran diagnostics E47 error code says to test for lock assembly should read around 1500 ohms I did that checked out around 1100 ohms. So then it said to replace control board so I replaced motor control board but didn't fix it. What else could it be what control board (user interface control board, heater control board w/ transformer) or could it be the door lock assembly is defected?
1 Answer Hello Mitch. Most likely the lock assembly is the issue. However, if not, it is the main board, not the motor board that needs to be replaced. Read More...
