1 Answer Hello Tom. You need to check the door lock 131763256 on the unit and see if it is bad and needs to be replaced. If it is good, then either the motor or the main board is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Jon July 15, 2014 Hey, I have a Frigidaire front load washer. Came in the other day to it doing nothing but beeping continuously. Tried to turn the knob and hit the cancel button, but it did nothing. Finally just unplugged it and plugged it back in and still doing the same thing. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Jon, If you could please re-post with the model number from your units' I.D. tag, we will be able to look up the configuration you have to give a proper diagnosis. Thank you for your understanding and patience in this matter. Read More...
Ryan July 07, 2014 for Model Number FTF2140FS1 I was wondering if you would have some advice to a washer problem. I have a Frigidaire washer FTF2140FS1 and it gives me a error code of e55 which it says motor overheat so check ohm s on motor coils all good with spec sheet replaced speed control board with new didn't fix problem contacted another place which sells parts they say replace motor instead of new I choose a used one since another new piece will leave me halfway to a new washer already. Tried the motor still doesn't work. What do I try next the top control board? When in test mode all it doesn't do is spin and tumble. Attempted to see if it was sending power to motor and well not real sure how to check it but I had 114v on the coils when it wasn't set up to do anything and when I told it to spin the volts jumped around. I'm at a loss and ready to throw it out. I checked the tech sheet and I've replaced the two parts already it's said to replace, It wanted me to check the motor coils and they are all within the 6 ohm spec limit mine all measure 5.8 ohms i've replaced the speed control board and i've replaced the motor and the error code still comes back with E55. I was thinking of replacing the main control board since that's they only thing i haven't replaced yet but i wasnted someone else opinion since i've spent enough money on this washer trying to get it to work and i'll be halfways to a new unit already
1 Answer Ryan, You will want to make sure that you spin the tub pulley and make sure that the tub spins freely. If it does not then you will want to check the tub bearings. If the tub spins freely, the motor pulley spins freely and with a new speed control board, then you will want to make sure that there are good connections at the motor and board. If all wiring checks ok then the issue would be the main control board. Read More...
Mike May 22, 2014 for Model Number frgidaire washer # ATF6000ES Sometimes I push start does not work. Hours later push start button then works. Sometimes in cycle all of a sudden washer stops. Hit start button nothing works. Hours later comes on hit start button then works. Sounds like some kind of electrical to me. Maybe control circuit board?
1 Answer Hello Mike, First verify the power supply. When the unit will not respond, check the power in the out the unit is plugged into. Another good check is to look for burned spots and/or a melted look around the prongs in the insulative part of the plug. If these exist, the wall outlet is loose and in need of replacement. If the plug looks good but the voltage drops out when you push the button the wiring and/or breaker are In question. If the voltage is fine, the control board 134523106 will require replacement. Andy May 21, 2014 for Model Number FTF2140ES0 Hi. I think the error code I'm getting is E5B. I'm getting five flashes on the five right side lights and a total of eleven flashes on the Start light. The error code chart I have says I need to replace the "speed control board". Is this the board I need (134743500)? Also, does it make sense that the machine will allow no water to enter it with cold water hose (only) hooked while powered on with this failure? I can hear no water flowing while hooked up and "started". Do I need both hot and cold hooked up to test? It's in my garage with only one water hookup until I can confirm I've repaired it at which time I will move it to my basement laundry room to hook up permanently. Thanks.
1 Answer Andy, The speed control board is part number 134743500 and would need to be replaced. For the cold water not entering the unit it would have to do with only one of the water lines being hooked up. You will want to have it set up for both hot and cold to test properly. Read More...
Susan H May 20, 2014 for Model Number LTF8000FEO Have a Frigidaire Front Loading Washer. Spin cycle works, but, only on slow. All the water pumps out of the drum. The spin rotates both left and right only on slow. Everything comes out dripping wet. It was suggested I replace the motor control board. I just watched the video installing the control board and it seem fairly easy. At $151.00 I'd like to make fairly certain this is the problem. What is your opinion?
1 Answer Hello Susan. You need to check the pump and make sure it is draining properly. If it is good, you will need to check the door lock assembly 131763256 and see if it needs to be replaced. Read More...
Richard B. May 05, 2014 for Model Number GLTF2940ES1 My washer will not spin fast to wring out the clothes. It drains the water then only rolls back and forth slow.
1 Answer Hello Richard, This is most likely the pump not clearing all of the water from the tub. You will need to make sure there are no obstructions in the drain hose in front of and behind the pump. If no obstructions are found, you will need to replace the drain pump 137221600. Read More...
Keith April 14, 2014 for Model Number ATF7000FS The clothes washer has started to make a racket when spinning although the drum seems to be rotating at a high speed. This is for the last 10-15 minutes of the was cycle. it sounds like a bearing but it is spinning like mad. What is wrong?
1 Answer Hello Keith, The tub seal has probably failed. This allows detergent water to leak through the tub bearings, washing the grease from them. This makes the bearings 134721310 loud for a period of time before the bearing goes into full failure and locks up. Read More...
1 Answer Paul, Unfortunately there is no video for the motor control board for your unit. In order to change the motor control you will need to unplug the power and remove the main top and rear panel of the unit. Once removed you will see the motor control either on the left or right side. If on the right side you will need to remove the control from the front of the unit. If on the left it can be removed from the back of the unit. Read More...
