Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Washer Motor Control Board (Part Number: OEM11675349)

1 Answer

Hello John. The E59 would be caused by a bad motor or speed board on the unit. Test the motor and if it is good, you will need to replace the speed board on the unit. Also, check all the wiring on the unit as well.

Hello Cheryl, This appears to be a failure to fill in the allotted time. Be sure to check the screens in the hoses and the water valve. If there is a flow meter in the unit, it is a common failure. For a more detailed diagnosis, please post a new question in a new string and include the model number from the units' I.D. tag.

All of the cycles seem to work fine except for the spin cycle. The drum does turn to agitate the load as normal within the cycles. There is no fast spin during any wash cycle. The pump does pump out the water between wash and rinse cycles and does come on when the spin cycle only is selected. I have tried unplugging for a few hours, trying spins at different speeds but nothing. There are no error messages. Our appliance repair friend just replaced the control board motor, part number 134743500, at great expense, and still does not work. Any helpful advice? Thanks Sue

Henry, If the unit not filling with water then turn the unit on and test for voltage to the water valve. If the valve does not have power then the issue will be the main control board. If the unit does have power but will not fill then the water valve will be the issue.

Hello Mike, This is an indication of either an excessive load on the motor or a harness issue. Test number 9 on the tech sheet advises to 1. Remove the belt from the motor and spin the motor pulley. Does the motor spin free? 2. Spin the tub pulley. Does the tub spin free? and 3. Disconnect the plug from the motor and measure the resistance of the windings (pin 1 to pin 2, pin 1 to pin 3, pin 2 to pin 3). All readings should be between 4 and 6 Ohms. If the readings are correct, replace the speed control board 134743500. If the readings are incorrect, replace the motor 137043000.

Hello, I have a Frigidaire Affinity front load washer. When I select the settings I want and hit start it runs water for a few seconds then stops, this happens a few times. I have tried unplugging power for 5 plus mins multiple times, I have tested water supply lines to make sure they are working and have good pressure, I have also checked wiring from control board to the speed control board (nothing looks burnt or damaged including both boards themswlves). None of these have helped at all. The washer is just over a year old. I have read in a couple different places that the first thing to replace is the control board in this instance (as all wiring and boards look to be in good repair), what would your suggestion be? Thank you for your time, Justin

1 Answer

Hello Justin. If all the parts on the unit are testing good, then it would lead to the control board on the unit. Keep in mind, that it is normal for the water to start and stop at the beginning, but then should continue on and run the cycle.

Hello Glenn, You will need to remove the main top panel to access the screws in the rear of the panel. Remove the detergent drawer and remove the screw behind it. The panel can be removed after noting where the wiring connects and it is removed.

For more than a week, during the final spin on the "Quick" cycle setting, the washer would not stop spinning. (We would have to press the "Pause" button to stop and then cancel the cycle.) The washer began not starting the final spin at all during the "Quick" cycle. It also wouldn't spin when we tried to use the "Drain and Spin" cycle. It would do the final spin in the "Normal" cycle. Now, it won't even do the final spin in the "Normal" cycle. Judging from others' input, it looks as if we need to replace the motor control board. Is this correct?

Hello Shawn, You should use the units' built in diagnostics to pull the fault codes. This is fully explained in the tech sheet which is found inside the machine. If the unit will not pull fault codes, the issue is most likely in the control.
