For Frigidaire Washer Motor Control Board (Part Number: OEM11675349)

Drew

Hello. I have a fridgidaire affinity washer that's about 4 years old. Whenever I plug it in the system will go right into drain me saying 3 minutes but not ever changing. I can turn off. Set to a mode then hit start and it gites right back. Clicking sounds in door and control area heard. Have done factory reset and won't let me enter diagnostic mode to check codes. Put in new door lock and then new control board. Still same problem. Repair man came out and couldn't determine. Said to just repair main contol board and that could be it. About to go old school and buy top load with no computers. Help? ??

Hello Drew, Blow through the pressure hose and make sure it is not clogged. Also, make sure the pressure switch is good. If it senses a full tub, it will go into drain mode to remove the water. We will need your model number to help you more with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx

Oscar, With a error code that is not listed for your model coming up, this issue would be caused by a faulty control board. The part number for the control board is [AP2891780].

Washer would not work, got a e59 code. followed all test procedures and everything checked OK. Replaced speed control board as per test. Washer worked for 3 washings and than quit working. E59 code is back again. Also tub turns 1/2 turn one way and jams, turns 1/2 turn the other way and jams. Will turn freely if you force it around. Cleaned out the trap by pump, found lots of trash. HELP. Is something jamed between the tub and tub housing causing the speed control to burn up ?

1 Answer

Keith, As far as something being jammed between the inner and outer tub, this would be something that you would need to check by pulling the tub. The other thing would be to check the motor and make sure that it is good and recheck the motor control. If all checks ok then the main control would be the issue.

Mark, If you access the tech sheet and run a diagnostic mode it will most likely have a error code stored. Based on the door lock not correcting it would most likely be the speed control board part number 134743500 that is faulty.

Jan, In most cases the timers are sold as a whole and not as individual parts so if the manufacturer has discontinued the part there would be no replacement that is suitable.

RM Maxfield, You will want to make sure that the hoses that are being installed have rubber washers in them. If they do not have washers in them then they will leak.

Jeff N. for Model Number GLTF2940FS2

My washer will occasionally pump all the water out quickly and cycle normally, mostly it does not. Typically, on say 'Quick' wash, it will fill, reverse tumble wash for 5 min., and then when it tries to remove the water, the pump motor can be heard churning away, but the water is not removed. It will churn for perhaps a couple minutes, and then rest for a minute or so, and then churn for another couple minutes, rest, and repeat. It will do this 4 to 7 times, and then the door will unlock and 'Pause' will be displayed. I have been advised to check the pump and drain hose for obstructions, because apparently there can be an obstruction that can intermittently affect the ability to drain. I have also been advised that the motor control board is likely at fault, because unless the motor is jammed, it should run and run and run, it should not 'rest', and the machine should not go into 'Pause'. If I do need to replace the MCU, will I be able to access it properly while I am checking the pump and drain hose? (I don't see a repair video for MCU replacement) -- Thank you!

Hello Jeff, If there were an issue with the motor control board the tub would not move at all so I do not believe there is an issue there. I would access the pump and check the hose between the pump and the tub assembly. Debris accumulates in there and prevents the pump from being able to evacuate the water from the tub. If debris gets into the impeller area, the impeller can separate from the pump motor shaft, causing the pump motor to run but no water to be moved so it may not be a bad idea to have a new pump 137221600 on hand before the dis-assembly to prevent having to access it a second time.

Hello Bwltyw. It sounds like the motor is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.

Hello Mark. First, make sure the drain pump on the unit is drain properly. If so, you will need to check the door lock assembly 131763256. If it is bad, the unit will not spin out properly.
