Guinn March 31, 2015 for Model Number LFFH21F7HWA Upright freezer went off and lost three-fourths of what was in it. Power failure light was on along with high temp. Checked breaker, unplugged and replugged after 5 minutes. No luck still showing same problems. Bought new freezer. While waiting for delivery rechecked everything again including wiggled wiring at bottom of door, capacitor, compressor, plugged unit in opened door, light inside blinking quickly and compressor short cycling with light. Pushed light switch in and unit stopped short cycling. Is it the light switch and/or the control board and /or the electronic control ? Any help appreciated, especially now that I have two freezers.
1 Answer Guinn, This issue will most likely be caused by a faulty control board. The part number for the control board is 297235200. Read More...
Frank K. March 10, 2015 for Model Number ffh21f7hwa Sometimes my upright freezer interior light blinks when I open door and there is a hum sound like a overload. When I close door, door ajar and power loss light is on. If I unplug it for 30 minutes it comes back on. I have replaced the door switch. Could it be the cable is shorting out when the door is opened. I noticed the light is expensive. Is it regular, incandescent light, or what. Will unit work if I remove the light?
1 Answer Hello Frank, This is most likely the control board 297235200. There is the possibility of a damaged harness at the door hinge. The unit should work fine with the interior light inoperative since this circuit is not a part of the cooling circuit. Read More...
Gilbert February 17, 2015 for Model Number LFFH21FZHWG I ordered a control panel but my question has to do with pressure after closing the door. When the unit was new you could hear pressure being applied when the door was closed. I no longer hear that sound and the temperature only lowers to 25 degrees. I spoke to a technician and he thought it was the control panel. I failed to tell him about there being no pressure sound when closing the door.
1 Answer Hello Gilbert, I would get behind the unit and make sure the drain tube is still properly connected. It will sometime drop off and without the trap filled with water, the air inside the unit does not contract as before and the suction sound is not heard. Otherwise, check the ice door and the seal around the doors. Read More...
Nikki February 15, 2015 for Model Number LFFH17F7HWD My freezer is 4 years old it just started not wanting to seal like normal. Its still staying cold like it should but there isn't a seal on the door anymore. I have cleaned the seal what else can I do to try and fix this problem before it becomes worse and would need outside repair done?
Steve January 08, 2015 for Model Number Model LFFH17F7HWB Serial No. WB90126809 How do you remove the electronic control panel from the front of the Electrolux door.
1 Answer Hello Steve. Precision Set Control Assembly Removal The Precision Set control assembly is mounted inside the front of the door assembly and is secured in position with retaining latches. To remove the Precision Set control assembly: 1. Disconnect power to freezer. 2. Using a small flat bladed screwdriver or equivalent tool, carefully pry under the bezel until the retaining latches release from the door assembly. Pull control assembly straight out to avoid damaging the electrical connection wire prongs. To install the Precision Set control assembly: 1. Push control in gently with the palm of your hand. You may need to slightly adjust the bezel position up or down to align connector pins. 2. Gently push control flush to door with palm of hand. Read More...

Andy November 21, 2014 for Model Number GLH21F8HWC I just got this freezer. It worked, but I had to replace the door switch. Everything seemed fine. I let it run overnight and the next morning I was experimenting with the buttons on the control unit. It was in the extreme freeze mode and I adjusted the temperature control up and down. Suddenly, the display showed "OF". Now the only thing on the control panel that seems to be operative is the lock and unlock feature. I checked the internet to see how to turn it back on and it did not work. Even with the panel in the unlock mode no other buttons are responding to touch.
