Jeff for Model Number FRS23F5A

I have an older Frigidaire and I replaced some parts to get my ice maker working again. We get overflow out the top of the bucket door inside the freezer and I noticed the new bucket assembly 241860803 has a plastic guard across the top just inside the door. This new design must have been implemented to stop the ice from overflowing like the problem I have. Do you offer just the new plastic guard that they have added since we bought our unit? I don't want to get an new bucket assembly. Thanks!

Ed, You do not have to replace complete bucket assembly in order to replace the drive blade 241684503. You may also want to check the ice auger screw 241716101 to ensure that it is not damaged as well. Just keep in mind when you remove the blades from the ice bucket to pay close attention and even possibly mark them and the washers as to how they come off and go on. Not doing this and getting the blades back on wrong will cause the unit to not crush or dispense ice properly.
