Murf April 16, 2012 for Model Number gleq2152es0 Can you jump this control out to test the system? I am getting a " PL" error code after 5 seconds when I try to start it.
1 Answer Hello Murf, Please do not short across that thermistor! You will probably wipe the control. Let me know when you get the other message I sent you. I am attempting to help solve this issue. Read More...
Taylor February 09, 2012 for Model Number GLEQ2152ES1 My Frigidaire dryer is over heating. I have completely cleaned it, replaced the thermostat, replaced the thermal limiter and still, too hot. What else could be causing this? The coil? The thermistor?
1 Answer Hello Taylor. Make sure the heater is not grounded out. If the heater is good, you will need to replace the thermistor 134587700. Hope this helps. Read More...
Armand October 08, 2011 for Model Number Whirlpool duet Dryer I get a code 3 on my readout window. and have determined that I need to replace the Thermistor. My question is where is it located and how do I acess the area to perform the replacement. Thanks
1 Answer Armand, You'll find your control thermistor located on the top, backside of the blower housing. Heres some help : "1. Turn off the gas to the dryer and disconnect the electrical power. 2. Open the dryer door and remove the lint filter screen, then close the door.3. Remove the two hex-head screws from the bottom flange of the toe panel. Pull the panel out at the bottom, pull down, and remove the panel.4. Remove the hex-head screw from the lint duct bracket and remove the bracket. 5. Remove the two hex-head screws from the lint duct and remove the duct. 6. To remove the thermal fuse or thermistor: a) Remove the two wires from the terminals. b) Remove the two hex-head screws." That should get you through the repair. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Jerry August 30, 2011 for Model Number 110-95081 400 Gas Kenmore Dryer When I perform the electronic test mode all the lights on the control panel lights up and the gas burner will even fire up. When I put the machine in the automatic mode to run a normal cycle the burner will not light. I attempted to replace the electronic control board #8546219 and that did not correct the problem. IF the thermistor would be bad would the machine still fire up in the test mode? If not where should I look next?
1 Answer Hi Jerry. The thermister is part # 134587700. It does control the burner firing. Depending on the engineers design peramiters in the test mode, it may be as well to directly bypass the thermister to check for the burner to fire. The thermal fuse is part # WP3392519. The dryer igniter kit is part # WP338906. These will stop the dryer from lighting. The thermal fuse is because the temperatures exceeded a safe predetermined value and opened for safety. This is mainly because of clogged vent systens and /or vent hood assy. outside stuck open or shut. Clean, clean, clean and make sure there are no kinks in the vent system. Thank you. Read More...
Brian August 01, 2011 for Model Number LEQ01442ESO I have not heat in dryer. I have taken it apart. Tested the thermostat, thermal limiter and the thermistor control for continuity with RX1 on a analog meter. The thermostat and thermal limiter went to zero. The thermistor control however, went to 3. Does this mean the thermistor control is bad?
1 Answer Hello Brian. No, it sounds like the thermistor control 134587700 is good. You will need to check and see if the heater 5300622034 is good. Also make sure there is 240 volts coming to the unit, and it is not set to air fluff. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Israel L. July 25, 2011 for Model Number leq1442eso I have no heat. I change the heater assembly and still there is no heat. What can it be?
1 Answer Hello Israel. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the thermal fuses 3204267 134120900 and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Also test the thermistor 134587700 and make sure it is good. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Heatless July 22, 2011 for Model Number 41798042701 No heat , I have tested the sensor and coils they are ok, can it be the themistor control ? And where is it?
1 Answer Hi Heatless. You can test your Igniter for resistance. It should read between 35-500 ohms cold. If this part is open, it will not allow the gas valve to come open. This part # is 5304517325. The igniter is inside of the oven burner assembly. The thermistor is mounted on the blower housing. It should read 10,000 ohms @ 75 degrees cold this part 3 is 134587700. Thank you. Read More...
Yennek July 03, 2011 for Model Number Frigidaire LEQ21522EE1 The lights on the right side light up and then the dryer turns off. It runs on no heat without stopping. Is this a bad thermostat? what part should we replace?
1 Answer Hello Yennek. You will need to test the thermister 134587700 and see if it is good. It should read around 10K ohms at room temperature. If it is good, you will need to replace the control board 134523200NH. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Philip June 25, 2011 for Model Number Aeq6000es2 I have a Frigidaire electric dryer that does turn on. The dryer has 240v on terminal and the thermal limiter looks ok. The control board does not light up, however, I do not know how to check for power at the control board. Can the control thermistor cause this? How can I determine if this control board is defective.z
1 Answer Hi Stuck. The dryer (obviously) has 240vac supplied to the terminal block. If you are going to check anything electrically, first make sure you are completely safe and your dryer circuit breaker is working correctly. The terminal block should have 240vac on the two outer legs, and 120vac from the outer legs (L-1 & L-2) to the center neutral (terminal) screw consecutively. Make sure you are safe and do - not come in contact with any live electrical parts. The supplied wiring diagram should help, as you will be able to follow 120vac to the control board. The control board is part #134557201NH. Thank -you and we are here to help. Read More...
