Hi Chapo. Is your model # FEQ1442ES0? If so then you will need to replace the thermister part is 134587700. In response to the scraping sound you will need the drum bearing kit part # 5303281153. The front seal is part # 134440200. The lower seals with the adhesive is part # 5303937183. The dryer drum glide is part # 137513300. Thank you.

Hi Brent. Normally when a dryer has a clogged vent system and the vent hood / cap outside is not working right, your unit will start to over heat. This will lead to blowing a thermal fuse and weakening the cycling thermostat, possibly opening the High limit (Safety Fuse). The thermal fuse is part # 134120900. It is located on the inside back wall. At the top rt. side on the heater housing. Thank you.

Ok my husband wired up a new plug for my dryer backwards and put a hot wire where ground was suppose to go and the ground in place of hot wire. Of course when he turned on breaker it burned the control board. I have replaced the control board and also the thermal fuse. When flip breaker after wiring plug correctly , we got it to go thrugh all selections for different cycles. But when we push the start button it beeps three times and lights flash and then nothing happens. Any ideas on what else to check or replace?

Hi Christie. Yes , It sounds like you also need to change the door switch part # 134813601. This probably shorted along with the parts you already replaced. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hello David. Yes, the heater should cycle on and off. That is normal. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Hope this helps.

Hello. If your unit will not heat it could point to several issues. The first thing to check would be the thermal fuse and the thermostats with a multi meter [AP344064]. I will include a link to an article on how to test various parts with a meter. If those are all in good shape, you can check the element and all the wiring in the unit to make sure there are no burnt out pieces. I hope this info helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Hello. Does the unit run at all when you turn on the timer? If so, try disconnecting the dryer from the vent tube on the rear of the unit and run a cycle. If you notice that the unit is now heating, you will want to clear out any obstruction in the tubing. Thanks!

Brendan for Model Number fde436res1

Here's what happened with my dryer. 1. Coil stayed on even after the dryer was off. Coil burned through and broke into many pieces (turned black). I bought a new coil and installed. 2. Dryer would then not turn on, so I bought a thermal limiter and installed. 3. Dryer turned on, then after five minutes, heard a pop. Second coil burned through, this time almost at the insertion point. So, I am thinking it is the thermostat on the element. The dryer was very very hot after I installed the limiter, it seemed. Obviously hot enough to burn through the coil. Could I have crossed wires? Please advise, as this will be the second coil from your site.

Hello Brendan. It sounds like the cycling thermostat 131298300 is bad. This is the part that turns the heater off and on, based on the temperature of the dryer. Hope this helps.
