Questions & Answers

For Ge Refrigerator Main Control Board (Part Number: OEM21564309)

1 Answer

Michelle, Unfortunately we do not have information on this unit since it is an international unit. If you are having a defrost issue then you will want to test the defrost heater and thermostat. This can be done by testing for continuity. If they both have continuity then the defrost timer would be the issue.

Heather, Yes, it may be an issue with the main control board that is faulty that is not allowing the unit to dispense ice. You will want to test the auger motor first to see if there is power getting to the motor. There should be 120vac to the motor. If there is not power then check at the control board for 120 vac. If there is no power going to the auger motor from the control board then you would want to replace the main control board.

Judd for Model Number gss25qgphww

Ice maker is not functioning, it will not cycle. I had a spare ice maker and changed out, still nothing. Just replaced the mother board purchased from you and nothing. Every thing else on the refrig works, water dispenses through door, ice will dispense through the door, etc. It does not appear that the inlet tube is frozen. It sounds like a pulse (very faint) is being sent to the ice maker that stops when the harness is unpluged. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, JD

Hello Judd. Check the fill tube and make sure it is not frozen and the water valve is good. If all of that is good, I would suggest replacing the icemaker in the unit. Both may have been bad.

Ed, You will want to check the thermistors on the unit to ensure that the resistance is within range. The resistance values should be 42.2K @ 0 degrees, 14.4K at 37 degrees and 5K ohms at 77 degrees. If not within range then the sensor would need to be replaced. If the thermistors check ok then it sounds like you would need a new main control board WR55X10942C.

Tuan for Model Number GE Profile Spacemaker XL sensor JVM 1350 WW 002

The Controls START , or CLEAR/OFF do not respnd to the touch any more. Tried any other like 1, 2 03 3 for minutes cooking, NO response either. The SURFACE LIGHT and the VENT FAN touches still work. The CLOCK touch respond but since all the numbers are frozen/unresponsive, nothing can be achieved. Can the control board be replaced, and what is the part number for it. Thank you for your speedy and professional response.

Hello Tuan. The part you need WB27X1124 has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part.

Hugh for Model Number Ge side by side GSS25WGTG BB

The ice and the water dispenser no longer works. When I press for the ice the temperatures of the freezer and the fridge flash. I have unplugged the fridge for one minute, the icemaker is still making ice, and I know the water works because for a moment it was working after malfunction and it did dispense water. Everything right now is leading to a motherboard issue which would require me to swap it out. I just want to make sure that this is the way to go. thank you.

Hugh, You will want to check the wire harness at the bottom of the freezer door to make sure that there are no loose or broken wires. If this checks ok then the most likely cause of the failure would be the main control board. Double check to make sure that the dispenser is not in the control lock out position.

Hello Art. If neither is working, you need to check and see if the water filter is bad on the unit. If it is bad, it will cause the issue you are having with the unit.
