When I returned,i replaced the evap fan motor it did not come on replaced the evap fan motor with OEM part but it did not work replaced sensor in freezer and control board as well it still did not come on everything else works compressor works condenser fan works I did not change the defrost t-stst do you thin that could be it or what
1 Answer Mikee, For this issue the most likely cause for the fan not operating would be a faulty main control board. Read More...
Brandon March 13, 2018 for Model Number GSS25LSTDSS My ice dispenser quit working and the following day the water dispenser also quit working. The ice maker is no longer making ice. I have checked my water supply to the water valve and it is good. When I press the dispenser arm it makes a very faint tick sound which I assume is a relay of some sort, other than that there is no sound at all. It also displays a zero for a second for the freezer temp when I press the dispenser arm. I replaced the ice maker about 3 years ago. The refrigerator is about 11 years old.
1 Answer Brandon, You will want to make sure that the filter is good and if it has been replaced then this will likely be a issue with the water filter head WR02X45209. Read More...
Thanh N February 26, 2018 for Model Number GE. DSS25KGRCWW I have changed out the mother board, relay, and capacitor, but the compressor still isn't working. There are not noises coming out indicating that it's working.
1 Answer Thanh, If the compressor is not running but getting power to the overload relay and new relay already installed then this will be a bad compressor on the unit. Read More...
Herb January 15, 2018 for Model Number 25354663400 I am getting 120 volts to the evap fan, but it will only function at slow speed. I can plug the fan to direct ac outlet power and the fan screams out the rpms. It appears to be lacking the required amperage flow. Would this be caused by the main control board, and would this be the proper part to regulate it. All other components appear to be functional.
1 Answer Herb, If the control board is sending 120 vac to the fan motor but the fan is not turning properly then this will be a fan motor issue. Read More...

Gwilly67 November 25, 2017 for Model Number PSS27NGNABB This frig sat for a few years in the garage unplugged, it worked before that. I plugged it in and everything seems to work but the compressor. The compressor does not make any noise. Does this sound like a bad compressor or capacitor for the compressor or a bad motherboard? Condenser fan, lights, interior fan and temperature control panel are working.
2 Answers Gwilly67, You will want to check to make sure that the overload and relay is getting 120 vac to it. If it is then the most likely cause for this will be a bad compressor. If no power then the control board would likely be the issue. Read More...

2 Answers Gwilly, Based on your post information, start at the overload/relay WR07X10057 & WR08X10026 . If the condenser fan is running, then check the wires from the condenser fan to the compressor, if OK, replace the overload / relay on the compressor. The compressor and condenser fan use the same power source (120 VAC) from the "mother board", if the fan runs, then the compressor should start and run as well. Read More...

Cindy September 27, 2017 for Model Number GSS23WGTAWW My fridge has defrost issue. Took it apart and melted all the ice. Saw that heater obliviously burned out. Replaced and worked for a few months. Iced up again. Test continuity on heater, ok. Removed ice and plug the fridge back in. This time nothing worked except for lights inside the fridge. (Compressor will not start, no temperature display.) There is a clicking noise (about 3 ticks every 2 second) coming from the temperature control board on the front freezer door. Took the board out. Noise come directly from the black circular part on the board. Put it back. A few hours later everything went on. Worked for a few months and all the issues repeated except the fridge took longer and longer to start back up after manual ice removal. Ohm test for thermostat and thermistor from the main board with the parts covered in iced inside the fridge. Tested normal. 3 days ago did the same thing but this time the fridge appeared to stay off indefinitely. Ordered new temperature display and control board. New board did not start the fridge either and not even made the ticking noise. Put the old one back in and ticking starts again. Call customer service and was told board may be faulty and is sending me another one. Would the problem be the main control board instead?
1 Answer Hello Cindy. Yes, this sounds like the main board on the unit causing the issue with the unit. Thank you. Read More...
