Donna December 18, 2013 for Model Number JBP23GS1WH I am installing both the oven elements for this GE, but I don't remember what wires go where. The broiler has a red and blue wire. If I am facing the back of the stove, which post gets the blue and the other post gets the red? Also the bake element has a red and black wire? Where do these wires go?
1 Answer Hello Donna, Since you have 120Vac on one side and 120Vac in the opposite phase on the other side, it will not matter which wire goes to the left or right on the elements terminals. They will work either way without making a difference. This goes for both the bake and broil elements. Read More...

George October 07, 2013 Hi, I'm having a problem installing the broiler element. The bracket for the element in the oven has a third hole, for some kind of sensor, with it's own wire going into the back. The sensor type thing looks like a hollow tube crimped closed at the oven end. Any ideas what I should do? Try and remove the old mounting bracket and try to put it on the new element? Drill a hole in the new element's bracket to accomodate the sensor's mounting screw and wire? or ? Also my element didn't come the brackets that hold the element to the ceiling of the oven. Should I try to switch the ones from the old element? The inner one is giving me a lot of resistance. Thanks, in advance, for your help.

1 Answer Hello Fulton. We do not set the prices, the manufacturer does that. WB44X173 is your broil element. Read More...

Kev July 21, 2013 for Model Number GE JBP24B0B4WH Sold as Spectra, can you please tell me part # for the broiler element?
Phillip July 06, 2013 for Model Number General Electric J M72008WH The hardware store made it sound like I had to have an exact match on a replacement broiler element. All mine says on it is Volts 236 / Watts 3000. The holes in the plate are 2 5/8" apart. They also said that it was important that the leads where the wires get bolted be bent up the same as mine rather than the flat ones on their replacement product, and that the dimensions of the element be the same as mine: 11 3/4" wide, ~15 7/8" from the plate to the end, and other dimensions I don't know. Do you know what I need?
1 Answer Phillip, according to the model number supplied the replacement broil element is part number WB44X134. If needed, the bake element is part number WB44X5099. Thanks! Read More...
