Avinash August 28, 2014 Hi, Recently moved into the house and noticed that dishwasher was not cleaning, when I took out the lower spray arm I see that the bottom part of it was melted. Model number tag is missing from my dishwasher, I started looking at all the 2005 GE Profile dishwashers and I see that I have 2 options WD22X10047 vs WD22X10035. Trying to see is there a big between these
1 Answer Hello Avinash. It is very difficult to distinguish differences in parts with just pictures. We have a no questions ask return policy so you could purchase both and return the one that is not compatible. Thanks! Read More...
Denis December 13, 2013 for Model Number wd22x10044 How can I clean out the inside of this. Is there a replacement one that comes apart?
1 Answer Denis, The only way to clean the spray arm would be to run a cleaning cycle using dishwasher magic or afresh cleaner or taking the spray arm out and flushing it with water or soaking in vinegar. There is not a replacement that comes apart. Read More...
Ed April 15, 2013 for Model Number GE profile dishwasher Hi, I removed the metal part attached to the lower arm from both sides, because it was making contact with the heating element. Would that affect the performance of the dishwasher or can it cause any problems?
1 Answer Hello Ed, This will not be an issue at all because when the circulation pump is engaged, water pressure raises the spray arm and causes it to rotate from the pressure being released through the holes in one direction. In other words, the spray arm cannot contact the heating element if the pump is generating water pressure inside the system. The metal parts are, however, necessary to protect the spray arm from the heat generated by the element during the water heating part of the cycle. This heat can cause the spray arm to fail and even split in to if the heat shields are not in place. Read More...
Napa February 07, 2013 for Model Number ge gld5660N How do you get the lower spray arm off? I looked for the clip or place to put the screw driver in and can not figure it out.
Tom January 14, 2013 for Model Number pdw7300n10ww Hey I have a question about the lower spray arm on my dishwasher. I just noticed a thin metal piece flapping from the bottom of it : it makes contact with the heating element and the plactic tube going up to the upper arm. Does the lower arm just pop up and off to replace/inspect? I this metal part held on by clips, screws, or tiny trolls who need to bribed? Thanx a million! Tom in NC
1 Answer Hello Tom, The lower spray arm does just lift out. You may have to pop loose. The metal piece has openings in it that slide over somewhat like a flat shaft and hold in place. Read More...
Bob K January 14, 2013 for Model Number GSD6200JO3BB THE MODEL # GS6200JO3BB, used to be very silent during operation. I found a small rubber (this looks like it could be some form of gasket-very thin) about 3-4 inches in diameter under the lower arm unit. The dishwasher works perfectly, no leaks, just seems to make more noise than it used too. Can't seem to find this part in your drawings.
1 Answer Hello Bob, The only rubber seal that would match the description of the one you found would be part of the drain pump impeller kit WD19X10032. You may want to check the drain pump for debris that could be causing the noise. Read More...
Dan November 29, 2012 for Model Number gld4160l My upper spray arm does not seem to br moving much. The d/w is pretty clean and I think the fix should be simple. The upper arm looks good and the conduit that goes from the arm to the opening on the back where the water is to come through seems good. I dont think the arm is clogged inside not allowing enough water pressure. Maybe the conduit #wd12x10052 is not tight enough to back of opening. The flanged end might be enlarged and sloppy from wear not anabeling a snug fit. The phone rep said it could be one of the filters at the bottom of unit not allowing enough d/w pressure. I dont think that is the problem. Maybe again the upper arm might not be designed to move that much but I dont think that is right. I think this should be a easy fix if something is really wrong. Can I get some imput on what you think the cure is if any. It just doesnt seem right. I dont want to just guess and start buying all kinds of parts. The dishes seem to be getting clean but that upper arm seems like it should be moving better. Can you please respond? Thank you dan.
1 Answer Hello Dan. Check and see if the water inside the unit is filling up to the bottom of the heater on the unit. If not, then you will need to replace the water valve in the unit to allow more water to enter the unit to aide in the pressure for the top spray arm. Read More...
Steve October 14, 2012 for Model Number PDW788ON20SS MY GE dishwasher lower spray arm stop spinning and when I inspected I realized that a circlular plastic bushing ring at the base of the assembly was cracked and thus not allowing the base of the spinning arm to seat onto the spot where the arm attaches to the dishwasher. When looking at the pictures for my model the arm looks different and the replacement part does not appear to be avialable. Please advise.
1 Answer Steve, the lower spray arm WD22X10047 is the original part used on your model. This is installed with the hub nut WD12X10061 onto the main conduit WD12X10057. Thanks. Read More...
Pete July 09, 2012 for Model Number gs6209g00ww The pump assembly does doen not drain How do you disassemble the lower spray unit to see if it is plugged?
1 Answer Hi Pete. Use a bucket and put the drain hose from under the sink connection. Use a screwdriver to see if the drain hose or sink drain is clogged. Then place the unit in drain and see if it drains into a bucket. Place a loop into the hose and secure it as high as you can under the sink at the back wall. Then remove the lower kick plate and remove the pump and see if it is clogged as well. If the impeller is spinning loose on the shaft then it will not drain as well. The pump is part # WD26X10016. This spray arm part # WD22X10047 pulls upward to release. This way you can remove from the top of the sump assy. with a shop vac and cleaning as you go. If the chopper blade is clogged or damaged it needs replaced as well. It is part # WD19X10032. Thank You. Read More...
Nt May 02, 2012 for Model Number PDW7700G00BB I had a problem with my dishwasher draining. It is a GE profile PDW7700G00BB we had installed in 06/2004. I replaced the drain pump today and cleaned out the lines and it drains better than ever. When putting the parts together, I put the following parts in order, part 501 being the top. 501 454 453 450 451 502 455 332 420 425 310 I now get water through the spray arms but not enough pressure to rotate them. My questions is this, part 450 has a threaded bottom but does not reach 455 as the schematics have it on top of 451. Would that give me water but not pressure? The dishwasher worked fine before.
1 Answer Hi NT. Yes exactly. Part # 450 and 455 thread together as the course filter 502 part # WD22X10029 is sandwiched in the middle. I suspect that part # 450 main conduit WD12X10057 is not together with the fine filter hub nut part # WD12X10061 and fine filter asm. part # WD12X10109. The main conduit is now fitted together as one piece. Examine all parts and make sure nothing is mis-aligned and not locked in correctly allowing the parts to be held off one another. Thank You.
