The Pressure Switch Hose is an OEM part for GE washing machines. It connects the pressure switch to the tub, allowing the switch to monitor the water level within the washing machine. This ensures the proper amount of water is used during each cycle for efficient washing and rinsing.

You should replace this pressure switch hose if it becomes cracked, clogged, or otherwise damaged. Common causes of a bad hose include wear and tear from repeated use, buildup of detergent or debris, and damage from improper handling or installation.

Symptoms of a bad pressure switch hose include:

  • Washing machine not filling with water
  • Overfilling or underfilling of the tub
  • Inaccurate water level detection
  • Error codes related to water level issues

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

For Ge Pressure Switch Hose (Part Number: OEM6139761)

Hello Terry370. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board W10393448 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.

Hello Cindi3212, If you leave the hose connected at the bottom and blow on it from the top, this will clear it temporarily. I have used a small piece of weedeater line to clear the air dome but this is not as effective unless the inner tub is pulled to help remove some lint/debris from the air dome assembly. As a note, never remove the pressure switch hose from the pressure switch with any water in the tub. This will cause the machine to overfill if not spun out before filling.

Mrs K, The issue is most likely going to be in the control switch(s), and not the air tube or pressure switch. A loose lid or weak lid switch could be a possibility as well. A proper and complete model number would be a big help.

Hello Jim, To remove the front panel: Locate 2 spring clips between the top cover and front panel by aligning a putty knife with left or right edge of lid. Insert the putty knife and push forward to release clips. Rotate the front panel forward and lift off the bottom tabs. The air dome will be on the side of the outer tub assembly toward the rear of the appliance.

Hello John. When removed from the pressure switch, it should blow freely into the air dome assembly. If not, the hose or the air dome is clogged.

Kris, The air dome being clogged would be the most likely cause of the unit not filling to proper level since the pressure switch and the hose have been replaced. Ensure that the hose did not get kinked when installing.

Jamie, There is an air dome on the side of the outer tub that you want to check to make sure that the pressure hose is connected to and that it is not clogged. Make sure that the air dome is not clogged as well. If the pressure hose popped off it will cause the issue that you are having.

Debbie for Model Number WBB4500E1WW

A while back my washer started not spinning, but when I played with the different knobs and opened and closed the lid a bunch of times it started working fine again. 2 weeks ago it overflowed and I researched and decided to buy and install a new water pressure switch. It worked OK for a couple of loads, and then last night it tried to overflow again (I caught it because I don't trust it yet). So I messed with the knobs again, got it to agitate, and then had a terrible time trying to get it to spin. What do I need to replace now? I did not replace the hose coming off the pressure switch and have never replaced the lid switch. Any other ideas? Do you think its the big dial with all the different kinds of cycles going out? Hope not - looks complicated! Thank you!

Debbie, you're on the right track, you don't want to start with the electronic control WH12X10271. But you do need to check or replace the pressure switch hose WH41X365. the switch controls the water level into the washe and it must reset to the "empty" position, for the washer to spin. Then consider the lid switch WH12X10141, for now check and make sure the magnet on the underside of the lid, is not loose damaged or missing WH12X10276, Good Luck and Thanks

John, run the machine and unplug it while its filling. If the water continues to flow replace the water valve, part number WH13X10026. If the water stops flowing check the water pressure hose and if that is ok replace the water pressure switch, part number WH12X10065. Hope this helps, thanks!
