The Dishwasher Circulation Motor is an OEM part for LG dishwashers. It plays a crucial role in the dishwasher's operation by pumping water through the spray arms during the wash cycle, ensuring that dishes are thoroughly cleaned.

Over time, the circulation motor can fail due to normal wear and tear, electrical issues, or blockages caused by debris. A malfunctioning motor can lead to inefficient cleaning and increased noise levels. Regular maintenance and avoiding overloading the dishwasher can help extend the motor's lifespan.

Symptoms of a bad circulation motor include:

  • Dishes not being cleaned properly
  • Unusual noises during the wash cycle
  • The dishwasher not completing cycles
  • Water not circulating within the dishwasher

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

For Lg Dishwasher Circulation Motor (Part Number: OEM15975306)

Dennis for Model Number LDF6920ST

Just replaced the Circulation Pump Motor as it was making a horrible whining noise. All's quiet now, but I now have a leak. I ordered the recommended gasket that I thought was to accompany the motor prior to mounting to the bottom of the sump, but there was no obvious place for this small gasket to seat easily. The part number I received for the gasket is 1267457 (mu0057444). from the bottom of the dishwasher sump assembly it would appear there is a small existing rubber gasket that is molded to a round metal coiled gasket that the motor shaft fits into from below. There was no gasket material in evidence on the old motor when I removed it. Any guidance would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hello Curtis, This complaint is normally caused by a low water fill from either low water pressure or a defective water inlet valve 5221DD1001F. If it is filling with sufficient water level, the issue will be a clogged filter or a clogged or separating spray arm or a part has failed that is losing water pressure such as a water guide flapper for the adjustable upper rack center spray arm option on the water guide MEA36937101.

Hello Curt. The only way to tell is to access the pump and see if the noise is coming from there.

Hello Michael, You will just have to go back into the unit and determine where the leak is originating. Since you pulled the motor you should pull the motor and make sure you installed the seals as they were oriented on the original motor assembly.

Ginny, If there is no water getting to the upper spray arms but the lower always has water to it then most likely the diverter motor 4681ED3001D has failed and would need to be replaced.

Jim, You will first want to check down in the pump to make sure that there is nothing in it that would cause this issue. It is also could be a faulty diverter motor but most likely a problem with something caught in the pump. The pump motor can be changed out and seal would not need to be replaced.
