Jeff October 11, 2018 for Model Number ldf7923st My Dishwasher started to make a very high pitch whine during the wash cycle. There are no error codes and otherwise functioning normal. I have removed the wash arms as well as made sure there is no debris on the filter. I removed the filter and checked the impeller assembly and that all looks very clean. I am thinking that it is the circulation motor.. possibly bearings. Do you have the replacement motor for the LG - ldf7923st
Matt M March 12, 2018 for Model Number LDS5540ST My LG dishwasher is not washing properly. I cleaned the filter, in the sump, I cleaned all the sprayers and water delivery tube that goes up top (they weren't that dirty, machine is 3 years old with light useage). It makes a loud grinding noise ,the plates etc are still dirty, the detergent tabs are still not dissolved when its finished. I open it when its on and not a lot of water is spraying out of the 3 sprayers, the pump gasket looks pinched. I was going to replace the motor(lg part# 4681ed1004b) and pump gasket (lg part # mfz32863101) am I on the right track please?
1 Answer Matt, This unit has a diverter motor on it that would allow the water to go between the sprayers and would be the most likely cause for this issue. The part number would be 4681ED3001D. Read More...
Tom December 06, 2017 for Model Number LDS4821BB What voltage does the circulation pump motor require (Is the motor itself AC or DC?). My LG LDS4821BB has started burning out this motor. Replaced original motor when bearings failed and it fried. Two weeks later, replacement motor fried. Replaced it. Now about two weeks later, third motor is frying. I'm thinking motor control board is bad?
1 Answer Tom, With the unit burning out the motor then this issue would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board or the wiring. The motor should be a 120vac motor. Read More...
Randy Fiorenza November 11, 2017 for Model Number LDF6920ST I am having trouble with dishwasher draining. I replaced the check valve, but still does not drain. If I put drain line down lower and place it in a bucket it will drain. The pump works, but just doesn't have the power push the water uphill.
1 Answer Randy, You're on track, but off target. If the machine won't drain, and the drain line is not kinked or clogged, you'll need the EAU61383518 / 4681EA2002H Recirculation Pump Motor. The impeller may have come loose from the motor shaft, or the vanes on the impeller have distorted or been damaged and is not pressurising or moving the drain water. Read More...
Larry August 20, 2017 for Model Number LG Dishwasher LDF6810ST/01 There is leak at interface of sump assembly and motor assembly ,wf around shaft of motor. The shaft of motor is scarred in circular fashion and there is operational noise, suspect bearing. What is compatible motor? I question seal in base of sump assembly. It appears that sump assembly for this model LDF6810ST/01 is discontinued is there replacement or is there a seal that can go with motor? It appears this seal is seated in sump assembly. Any suggestions. Thanks
1 Answer Larry, If the motor drive shaft weren't damaged, you could've changed the impeller and seal kit and solved the issue. But with the shaft damaged, your best bet would be to replace the assembly AJH31248608 Sump Assembly. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More...
Martin July 03, 2017 for Model Number LDS4821ST I have an LG LDS4821ST dishwasher that is leaking water from the bottom. The water seems to be coming out near the center of the unit and not around the door area. I thought maybe the pump or sump gasket was to blame so I removed the filter assembly to check the gaskets and they seem OK. If I pour a cup of water into the main part of the sump area with the filter removed the water drips out the bottom of the dishwasher as it does when running. So it appears the leak is coming from the sump or motor within it, is there a seal that can be replaced or does the whole sump/pump need to be replaced? thanks for your excellent advice pages
Alan D. March 16, 2017 for Model Number LDS4821ST My LG dishwasher LDS4821ST, just started making a loud screech ing sound during the wash and rinse cycles. I have used it maybe 5 or 6 times since this started and the noise is more consistent and loud. I removed the lower wash arm and lifted the cover screen at the bottom of the unit but found no obvious problem. It has continued to clean, rinse, drain and dry the dishes but I'm concerned about the noise. Also, their have been no error codes on the control screen. What do you think?
1 Answer Alan, If there is nothing caught down in the pump assembly then this issue would most likely be caused by a faulty motor bearing which you would want to replace the motor for this issue. Read More...
Allen December 08, 2016 for Model Number LDF7932ST Dishwasher is making a random high pitch whistle so to speak and it's coming from the motor and pump area. I haven't uninstalled and can't see clear enough from front due to design to pin point. It gets very loud and annoying at different stages of any cycle, what's your best guess of the cause ?
1 Answer Allen, It would be recommended to open the pump assembly and check to see if there is anything stuck down inside the pump assembly or in the drain pump. If this checks ok then the issue will most likely be the motor of the unit that is faulty. Read More...
Joe October 07, 2016 for Model Number LG MODEL# LDF7551ST My dishwasher is not draining properly. The wash cycle starts fine, but after 5 or 10 minutes the OE error code shows up and water is still sitting in the washer. I cleaned the filter and also checked the drain pipe for clogging and none was found. What part could be bad? I am not sure of what part could be replaced. Called LG and they suggested drain pump motor and their parts distributer said motor assembly, dc, pump. Could these be same? Could the problem be circuit board? Your help would be very much appreciated.
1 Answer Hello Joe, If the drain pump is getting 120Vac during drain and there are no blockages in the drain line and/or unit, replace the drain pump ABQ73503004. If 120Vac is not present during drain, replace the control EBR79686302. Read More...
Rick September 30, 2016 for Model Number LDF6920ST Had dishwasher checked out he said pump motor worn diashwasher fills up then discharges water before washing cycle which pump motor is it thanks rick.
1 Answer Rick, The part number for the drain pump on the unit would be EAU61383518. This issue does not sound like it would be caused by a faulty motor. The motor is working but getting power at the wrong time. This would be more likely a issue with the main control board. Read More...
