The Dishwasher Circulation Motor is an OEM part for LG dishwashers. It plays a crucial role in the dishwasher's operation by pumping water through the spray arms during the wash cycle, ensuring that dishes are thoroughly cleaned.

Over time, the circulation motor can fail due to normal wear and tear, electrical issues, or blockages caused by debris. A malfunctioning motor can lead to inefficient cleaning and increased noise levels. Regular maintenance and avoiding overloading the dishwasher can help extend the motor's lifespan.

Symptoms of a bad circulation motor include:

  • Dishes not being cleaned properly
  • Unusual noises during the wash cycle
  • The dishwasher not completing cycles
  • Water not circulating within the dishwasher

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

For Lg Dishwasher Circulation Motor (Part Number: OEM15975306)

Matt M for Model Number LDS5540ST

My LG dishwasher is not washing properly. I cleaned the filter, in the sump, I cleaned all the sprayers and water delivery tube that goes up top (they weren't that dirty, machine is 3 years old with light useage). It makes a loud grinding noise ,the plates etc are still dirty, the detergent tabs are still not dissolved when its finished. I open it when its on and not a lot of water is spraying out of the 3 sprayers, the pump gasket looks pinched. I was going to replace the motor(lg part# 4681ed1004b) and pump gasket (lg part # mfz32863101) am I on the right track please?

1 Answer

Matt, This unit has a diverter motor on it that would allow the water to go between the sprayers and would be the most likely cause for this issue. The part number would be 4681ED3001D.

Tom, With the unit burning out the motor then this issue would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board or the wiring. The motor should be a 120vac motor.

Randy, You're on track, but off target. If the machine won't drain, and the drain line is not kinked or clogged, you'll need the EAU61383518 / 4681EA2002H Recirculation Pump Motor. The impeller may have come loose from the motor shaft, or the vanes on the impeller have distorted or been damaged and is not pressurising or moving the drain water.

Larry for Model Number LG Dishwasher LDF6810ST/01

There is leak at interface of sump assembly and motor assembly ,wf around shaft of motor. The shaft of motor is scarred in circular fashion and there is operational noise, suspect bearing. What is compatible motor? I question seal in base of sump assembly. It appears that sump assembly for this model LDF6810ST/01 is discontinued is there replacement or is there a seal that can go with motor? It appears this seal is seated in sump assembly. Any suggestions. Thanks

Larry, If the motor drive shaft weren't damaged, you could've changed the impeller and seal kit and solved the issue. But with the shaft damaged, your best bet would be to replace the assembly AJH31248608 Sump Assembly. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks,

Martin for Model Number LDS4821ST

I have an LG LDS4821ST dishwasher that is leaking water from the bottom. The water seems to be coming out near the center of the unit and not around the door area. I thought maybe the pump or sump gasket was to blame so I removed the filter assembly to check the gaskets and they seem OK. If I pour a cup of water into the main part of the sump area with the filter removed the water drips out the bottom of the dishwasher as it does when running. So it appears the leak is coming from the sump or motor within it, is there a seal that can be replaced or does the whole sump/pump need to be replaced? thanks for your excellent advice pages

Alan D. for Model Number LDS4821ST

My LG dishwasher LDS4821ST, just started making a loud screech ing sound during the wash and rinse cycles. I have used it maybe 5 or 6 times since this started and the noise is more consistent and loud. I removed the lower wash arm and lifted the cover screen at the bottom of the unit but found no obvious problem. It has continued to clean, rinse, drain and dry the dishes but I'm concerned about the noise. Also, their have been no error codes on the control screen. What do you think?

1 Answer

Alan, If there is nothing caught down in the pump assembly then this issue would most likely be caused by a faulty motor bearing which you would want to replace the motor for this issue.

Allen, It would be recommended to open the pump assembly and check to see if there is anything stuck down inside the pump assembly or in the drain pump. If this checks ok then the issue will most likely be the motor of the unit that is faulty.

Joe for Model Number LG MODEL# LDF7551ST

My dishwasher is not draining properly. The wash cycle starts fine, but after 5 or 10 minutes the OE error code shows up and water is still sitting in the washer. I cleaned the filter and also checked the drain pipe for clogging and none was found. What part could be bad? I am not sure of what part could be replaced. Called LG and they suggested drain pump motor and their parts distributer said motor assembly, dc, pump. Could these be same? Could the problem be circuit board? Your help would be very much appreciated.

1 Answer

Hello Joe, If the drain pump is getting 120Vac during drain and there are no blockages in the drain line and/or unit, replace the drain pump ABQ73503004. If 120Vac is not present during drain, replace the control EBR79686302.

Rick, The part number for the drain pump on the unit would be EAU61383518. This issue does not sound like it would be caused by a faulty motor. The motor is working but getting power at the wrong time. This would be more likely a issue with the main control board.
