Matt S December 15, 2022 for Model Number NX60T8511AA/AA-03 = Have Samsung gas range NX60T8511SS/AA-03. = Have gas oven issues with: (A) Broiler burner working; and (B) Bake burner not working. = From info here @ APP think the spec'd broil igniter is P/N DG94-00520A & think spec'd bake igniter is P/N DG94-01012A. = Looking for help to: (A) Confirm broil & bake igniter part numbers above for my Samsung model; and (B) Igniter test resistances for both broil & bake igniters to confirm before ordering parts/ spares. = Also on APP site P/N DG94-01012A bake igniter no longer available & want to confirm substitution P/N DG94-01441A is correct & test resistances for this igniter. Want to confirm equivalent resistance ranges & ensure I don't harm control board.
1 Answer Matt, If the broil burner is working then it would not need a new igniter. If both are not working, check to see if there is 120 vac getting to the igniters and if there is not then it would be a faulty control board. If there is and the igniter is not coming on then the igniter would be faulty. If the igniter is coming on then test at the oven safety valve for 3.2 to 3.6 Vac and if there is proper power then it would be a faulty valve. If there is not proper power then the igntier is weak and would need to be replaced. The bake igniter would be part number DG94-01441A and the broil igniter will be the same part number. Read More...
1 Answer The parts diagram calls for the part number DG94-01012A. We only recommend using what the manufacturer calls for. Read More...
Gary June 11, 2022 for Model Number NX58M9420SS/AA-00 I purchased an igniter DG94-00520A and it has one plug with 2 wires. my oven has 2 separate wires with separate plugs that go to the igniter. Can i just buy an igniter for another model that has the 2 separate wires with 2 plugs?
1 Answer Gary, your oven uses DG94-01012A for the bake element ignitor and the DG94-00520A is for the broil. Just make sure you ordered the correct part for the correct location. Read More...
John February 07, 2022 for Model Number NX58H9500WS/AA The replacement ignitor for bake has a different type of connector wires. My oven has 2 connector wires not the one connector shown in the diagram. Also, I don't know how to disconnect the connectors.
1 Answer Hello John, the broil burner ignitor is part DG94-00520A, DG94-00520A, the bake burner ignitor is part DG94-01012A, DG94-01012A. If the part is correct you can cut and splice the wires from the harness to the ignitor using small ceramic wire nuts. Read More...
Case January 22, 2022 for Model Number NX58M5600SB/AA I have Samsung gas range. Its about 2-years old. My oven is sounding like an explosion when I turn it on. It goes through the preheat stage to ignite the gas and it takes approximately 60-seconds to light. I called Samsung and they sent a service repair on 2 occasions and so far they have been unable to fix the problem. It seems as if the ignitor is delayed in reaching the proper temperature to light the gas for the oven.
1 Answer Case, it would be recommended that the burner be inspected and cleaned as it is common for the burner ports to get residue accumulating and preventing the gas from reaching the ignitor properly. This can cause the gas to ignite in a delayed manner and cause this issue. From there, it would also be recommended that the ignitor is checked to ensure it is lined up properly on the burner. John January 18, 2022 for Model Number NX58H5650WS/AC (Samsung) Samsung gas oven lights normally some of the time, but more often when I turn it on there's an orange glow but no heat. At those times I can solve the problem by turning on a surface burner for 4-5 seconds - that causes the oven to start heating normally again. Does that sound like a bad ignitor, or bad safety valve?
1 Answer John, Thanks for the question. You will need to check this with a multimeter at the safety valve. With the ignitor glowing you should have 3.2 to 3.6vac to the valve. If you have a voltage range within the 3.2 to 3.6vac and it doesn't light the issue would be the safety valve. If the ignitor is glowing and the voltage to the valve is not in range then the issue would be your ignitor. Read More...
Uncle Ernie December 03, 2021 for Model Number NX58H9500WS/AA The oven take very long (over an hour) to get to the temperature desired. The ignitor comes right on and seems to be working properly, but the flame is very small. Any suggestions? Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Ernie, if the cooktop burners and the broiler burner have a correct size flame, check that the bake burner orifice is not clogged. If ok, then if you have an Amprobe check the bake ignitor current draw, it should be within 3.2-3.6 amps, if less replace the ignitor DG94-01012A. Read More...
Tom November 30, 2021 for Model Number NX58H9500WS/Ac My oven keeps tricking the break switch and I couldn’t use the oven but top burners works fine.So I removed the oven igniter found it burned out (over1M ohms.) I went to the store but they only have a Frigidaire igniter #5303935066 in the same size with 108 ohms resistance which they said maybe ok. I installed it and it got red hot glow but I did not see the gas lighting up. Do you think I need to order another DG94-00520A or there’s valve problems? I I just want to know if the two kinds parts are interchangeable. Thanks
1 Answer Tom, It is always recommended to use the manufacturer's part when available. That being said check the voltage to the valve when the ignitor is glowing for 3.2 -3.6 vac or 3.2 -3.6 amps. If you have the correct voltage or amperage and the valve does not open then the valve would need to be replaced. Read More...
