Hello William. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the magnetron WB27X10735 is bad and the diode WB27X1160 will need to be replaced to. If the magnetron is sparking, it is bad. The diode is part of the high voltage circuit and needs to be replaced when the magnetron is replaced.

Hi Ted. Yes this is a issue when the magnetron shorts out. Magnetron part # OM75P(10)ESGN. Make sure that you use light sand paper or Emery cloth that will allow proper replacement of the microwave cavity paint part # 98QBP0302 with a few applications. This will allow the new magnetron to work properly along with the capacitor part # WB27X10011 and the diode part # WB27X10597. I would use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist. you in your diagnosis. Thank You.

Hello Tim! The magnetron listed as part number WB27X10880, OEM WB27X10017, is a GE manufactured part and part number OM75P(10)ESGN, OEM OM75P(10)ess, is a Samsung manufactured part. Unfortunately, we do not have any information regarding the meaning of (10) in the OEM part number information. Thanks!
