Brandon, This issue sounds like it may be the transformer that is faulty and not the touchpad. You will want to test the transformer on the unit to make sure that it is good. If the transformer is good then this will be a control board issue. The transformer part number is WP9760587 and can be tested by checking for 120 vac at the p16 connector between pins 5 and 7 for 120 vac and if there is power there then test from the p16 pins 2 to 3 for 12 to 24 vac. If there is no power at this point then transformer is bad. If there is power at this point then the control board is faulty. If there is no power at pins 5 to 7 then the control board is faulty.

Greg, No, the speaker and the timer function are circuits and components of the control board. You will need to replace the WP8300435 Control Panel Assembly w/Membrane Switch The key pad circuits have started to deteriorate and make contact inadvertently, and makes the speaker sound as if a key was pressed.

Aaron, If you tested the transformer and it was not getting power to it then the transformer would not have been needed. If there was power to it but not out of it then the transformer would be the issue. The control does sound like it would be faulty if with the new transformer the unit will still not operate.

Chris, If the display is not working then you will want to check the transformer to make sure that it is working. If there is beeping but no display that is usually the issue. Test using a volt meter and check for 120 vac at the P16 connector pins 5 to 7 and 12 to 24 vdc at the same connector pins 2 to 3. If you have proper voltage then the control board would be the issue. The membrane switch will connect to the control board but would not have anything to do with the display working. The transformer part number is WP9760587.

I have a whirlpool double oven Mod # rbd305pds12. It started to beep then lock then gave me two diff. codes Ed F2 1d 30". It was fine until I wiped it down to get finger prints off. Actually the clock has been gone for a while but the rest of the oven still worked. I can get the bottom oven to turn on and start to preheat for about 3 min then it goes off and gives me the codes again. I cant get the upper one to come on. So is this my thermal fuse, control panel etc? Please help.

Hello Jac, This is the fault code for the cancel key drive line open. Basically you should check the connections for corrosion and/or poor/loose connections. If nothing is found, replace the keypad WP8300427. If the problem persists, replace the control WPW10438751.
