Ray N. June 06, 2013 for Model Number RBD305PDB14 Our 8 year old Whirlpool double over has begun showing us code F3E2, then it goes into locked when we push off. It happens about 10 or so minutes after pre-heat completes. I took a quick guess and replaced the upper oven sensor, but that hasn't helped. I'd guess that the only other cause is the Control Panel, and that if I called a service tech that's what he would do, but it would cost me a whole lot more than just buying the part from you folks. Now paying closer attention to the operation, and using an electronic temperature probe, looks like the broil element in the upper oven doesn't shut off, raising the temperature above 400 (top end range of electronic probe), even though the control board continues to indicate it's at 350. 1. Is there anything else that I should check before ordering the panel? 2. Am I correct in my diagnosis? Thank you, Ray
1 Answer Hello Ray, As per the tech sheet on the unit, if the temperature sensor has been changed, the only other cause of this code is a stuck set of contacts on the control board (AP5272198). Read More...
Brinda D May 16, 2013 for Model Number RBD275PDT Suddenly my front panel light won't work...2 short beeps and then nothing...the light comes on when I open the door and the clock beeps when I push the clock button...what could be wrong!
1 Answer Brinda, Based on the information it sounds like the membrane switch may be the cause of failure. You will want to check to make sure that the connection for the membrane switch to the control board is a good firm connection with no corrosion or being dirty. Read More...
Tony T May 07, 2013 for Model Number rbd305pdb124453664 We have a whirlpool double oven. We just had the control board repaired (there were burn marks on it) and the original problem continues. When the circuit breaker is turned on we get all lights and clock for 1 to 2 minutes and then a reading of E1 F2. The unit is about 10 years old. Suggestions? thank you
1 Answer Tony, You will want to check to make sure that there is a firm connection to the control board on the ribbon harness from the keypad. If connection is good then hit the cancel button and if the error returns after 60 seconds then replace the keypad and if not then replace the control board. Read More...
Jay April 29, 2013 for Model Number WHIRLPOOL BUILT IN ELECTRIC DOUBLE OVEN MODEL# rbd305-pbd12 The key pad has a fault code on display "e 6 f 2". When I reset the breaker the display went blank. When I press the buttons they beep but oven wont come on and the display is still blacked out. The oven won't work it just keep beeping every now and then without even touching the display which is still black out. I reset the breaker several times nothing works display is still out. When I hit a button it just beep but nothing works.
1 Answer Jay, If the display on the unit has stopped working then you will want to check to make sure that the transformer on the unit is good. When checking the transformer, you will check at the control board. Check across connector P16 pins 5 to pin 7 for 120 vac. If there is not 120 vac then the control board is faulty. If there is 120 vac then check from P16 pins 2 to 3 for 24 vdc. If there is not 24 vdc then you will need to replace the transformer. If there is 24vdc then the control board is faulty. For the error code F2 E6, this indicates that the Cancel key drive line is open. You would check the keypad connector for firm connection. Press cancel and if error code returns after 60 seconds then replace the keypad. If it does not come back then replace the control. Read More...
Bill April 11, 2013 for Model Number RBD305PDB10 I have a Whirlpool double oven that I replaced the control board on about 10 months ago. The oven does not display any error codes. Every button will beep when pushed EXCEPT for the one to turn off the bottom oven. When you push the button no beep and the bottom oven will not turn off unless you trip the breaker. I cleaned the contacts on the ribbon cable but it still does not beep or turn off. I'm thinking it could be the membrane but I'm not sure.
1 Answer Bill, As long as there is a good connection then this would most likely be the membrane switch that has failed. Read More...
Robert F. March 27, 2013 for Model Number rbd305pdt12 i have a double oven that will not keep constent temperature.
1 Answer Hello Robert, You either have out of tolerance temperature sensors WPW10131825 or the control 8302967 has bad relays. The temperature sensors can be tested for resistance to see if they are the issue. [They should read about 1100O at room temperature, (approximately 70°F)]. Since the control is no longer available, it would have to be sent to corecentrics to be rebuilt. Read More...
Don C March 26, 2013 for Model Number RBD305PDS15 I replaced the control board. E1 F2 keeps coming on. Reset number of times. The key pad connection is secure. Do I need a new key pad? This is the flat 1.5 inch wide connector from the key pad. Most post are saying if one is damaged , the rest will not work.
1 Answer Hello Don. Based on the information you provided, you will need to order and replace the control panel WP8300435 on the unit. Read More...
Bt January 16, 2013 for Model Number RBD305PDB14 I just received this Control Panel from you (among other things) and thought it would fix all of my problems (after originally replacing the Control Board). I thought things were great until I discovered the 'temp up' and 'bake' buttons don't respond. I say that since every other button makes an audible beep except these two. As mentioned, the Control Board is also new as well. Which one would you guess is the culprit? Are there any tests that I can perform to figure this out?
1 Answer Hello BT, The most likely culprit would be a bad control panel. Although always double check to make sure that the ribbon cable is fully seated. Read More...
Bill January 10, 2013 I have a dual fuel GE oven J2S968S0H2SS it shuts of after about 1 hour of use. It will start beeping and the timer will randomely set. I shut of the breaker for several minutes and the time reset. Is it possible that I have a fan issue or is my control panel shot.
1 Answer Hello Bill, You can test to make sure that the fan is operational. When you turn the unit on the fan should come on. If the fan is not coming on then you would want to check to make sure that you are getting voltage to the fan. If voltage there but still no fan then you would want to replace the fan. There should be 120vac to the fan. If the fan is not getting voltage then you will want to test the main board to make sure it is sending power to fan. If no power from control board then board WB27T10612 would need to be changed. Read More...
James M. January 05, 2013 for Model Number rbd305pds15 I am unsure if I ought to replace the control panel (pn: 8300435) based on some of the threads. The unit's display light is out. When touching the key pad, they do beep. The timer works, the light in the oven works but when I try to turn on the oven for bake mode, I get 5 beeps. I am unsure if replacing the control panel is the right move. Can you advise?
1 Answer James, Replacing the control panel WP8300435, probably will not solve the issue, the display and beeps could be a control board issue WPW10438751 and or a transformer issue WP9760587, not a keypad problem, but most likely a control board. Read More...
