Hello Mellymel. Yes, the belt WP22003483 could be the problem. Check the belt and the pump WP35-6465 and make sure the pump turns freely by hand when turning the pulley on the bottom of the washer. Hope this helps.

Hello Rut. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the bearing kit W10219156 and the belt WP22003483 will need to be replaced to repair the washer. The bearing is the sound you were hearing and it locked down the tub assembly. Hope this helps.

Hello Rhyrhy. It could be the belt, but you will need to turn the pulleys by hand and see what is binding up the belt. It could be the pump WP35-6780, or the thrust bearing 12002213 on the unit. If the thrust bearing is releasing the brake assembly, but the tub drags, you will need to replace the tub bearing W10219156. Hope this helps.

Hello John. First you will want to remove the belt from the motor and make sure the motor moves freely on the slide plate. You will want to replace the belt WP22003483. Also if the motor is able to move freely, remove the cap under the thrust bearing pulley 12002213. If you find a lot of shavings in the cap you will have to replace the kit. Thanks!

Robert for Model Number mav5057aww

My washer has most of the symptoms everyone else is experiencing (wont spin all the water out) but if you can catch it when it begins to spin and lift the lid and set in back down again it will spin out at the correct speed most of the time. It seems the only time it wont spin out at the correct speed is when the load is set at super large. So in short, the smaller the load the better the chances it will spin out correctly. Does something reset when you lift the lid? Please help me! Thanks for your time!

Hello Francis. You will need to check the thrust bearing 12002213 and see if it is worn or bad. If so, it can cause the machine to not spin out correctly. It should release the brake without any dragging on it. Hope this helps.
