This electronic control board is the appliance's central controller. It interprets user inputs and sensor feedback to run cycles and coordinate components. Replacing a failed board can restore proper operation and responsive controls. What it does:

  • Manages the timing and sequence of operations based on selected settings
  • Interprets signals from the user interface and internal sensors
  • Directs power to components via onboard electronics
  • Monitors system status and may store/output diagnostic error codes

  • Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing; verify no voltage is present

Robert, You most likely have a problem with the keypad assembly " PROBLEM: One or More Keys Won’t Respond = Open key or LED circuit(s) on the keypad, or open circuits on the control to the keys and LEDs. Door switch not making contact:  Faulty or sloppy door latch assembly (which can be aggravated by high door closure force).  Faulty door switch (high resistance).  Faulty control does not detect door closed. But your issue is some buttons don't respond, you will most likely need W10811154 control panel/keypad assembly. Thanks and good Luck

Hello Carlos! It sounds as if the control panel ribon cable is shorting out and will need to be replaced. The model given, MDBH989AWW, should have an additional number at the end. Hi pete. The door latch brings power to the control board through a fuse assembly. The latch assembly is part # WPW10404412. It goes from the latch through the fuse part # W10258275. Then to the control board (which you just replaced). The control panel has a ribbon cable that cannot be pinched or broken. This part # is W10810424. Thank you.

Hello Kathy. Check and make sure the door latch assembly is working properly. If so, you may have a bad control panel assembly. If you can provide your serial number, we can provide you with the proper part number. Hope this helps.
