Re Jenn-Air Temperature Control Panel - Similar to Frank's question in Nov. 2013, Unit control panel turns freezer and refrig temperature to "OFF" for both and no other control buttons respond. Unit does not reset when power is unplugged and plugged back unit. I am able to disconnect green control board, keep down arrow on the refrig control depressed while simultaneously reconnecting small white plug to control board and control panel restarts to "0" for freezer and "46" for refrig. Door alarm is also"on" but no other functions respond and refrig button will not move from "46". Unit works for several weeks and then "OFF" problem happens again. I have had to do this "odd reset" to "0" and "46" three times. What do you suggest, replace the keypad or replace the green electronic control board? Thanks.

Adam, Once you get the slots and tabs lined up in the front, you will slide the control forward then roll up and making sure that the tabs go behind the plastic, use the palm of your hand and tap the control in place.

Alicia, Unfortunately there are no videos showing how to change the control board. To do this you will need to remove the light lens cover. On the backside of where the control is there will be 2 slots. You will push a flat blade screwdriver into the slot and it will release the control panel. Roll the control panel down and out and disconnect the wiring and you will be able to replace the board.

Wayne, Sometimes the temperature control will come in and it will be in the on position and sometimes in the off position. You will want to turn off the unit install the part. If in the on position then when you plug the unit back up the unit will start and if in the off it will not then you just adjust as needed.

Hello Creig, You will need to verify that the freezer fan is running. If it is, stop the blade from turning and with voltage on it, make sure it starts back up to full speed when you let go of it. If not, you will need to replace the evaporator fan motor W11024089. If it does, you may have a damper WPW10196393 issue.

Hello Alan. Check the fan motor and make sure it is running good. Also, look for a defrost issue in the unit.

Jeff for Model Number Maytag Refrigerator MFC2061HES

The control buttons do not work and the temperature in the fridge and freezer are above optimal most of the time (items in freezer do not freeze solid) and fluctuate even when not in use. Tech looked at it and suggested replacing control board first to see if that fixes temp problem. Can you give me the proper part number and is there anything I need to do to program it when replaced? I successfully fixed my Bosch dishwasher with your help and parts. Thanks

Hello Jeff. WPW10207861 is the control board you will need to order for the unit. As for the code, if there is one inside the unit on the model tag, then you have to program it. If no code is there, there is no need to program the board.
