Stevo January 31, 2024 for Model Number 59677599803 I believe I am in need of a new water head assembly. The one needed according to the manufacturer is model 12590611. Unfortunately this is very often out of stock and is no longer being produced. I have looked at the pictures of Whirlpool part number 67004106 and it looks the same. I compared the pins that extend on each side and they look the same as the one on my fridge filter head. Would this work on my fridge? Can you tell me what the difference is between part number 12590611 and part 67004106? Getting a bit frustrated. Thanks.

David January 26, 2023 for Model Number JFc2089hes3 When dispensing water, the frig makes a hammering noise as the water flows. It started making this noise after we replaced the water filter. I was trying to replace the water filter head and tube assembly to address the problem. I was unable to find a compatible part in your system. (There appears to be a water filter head and tube assembly for a JFC2089HES but not one for my JFC2089HES3.) Am I pursuing the correct part for my problem? If not what part should I replace? Richard January 01, 2021 for Model Number MFD2560HEQ One of the O rings on the filter head looks like its nicked and i'm wondering if i can replace only the three O rings in the filter head and avoid having the replace the entire water filter head and tube assembly. It seemed to fix the issue but its back now. Whenever we try and dispense water it does not come out and makes a loud banging noise. If I remove the filter, water still comes out. 1 Answer Daiana, When you replace the water filter, you have to be a little careful, and make sure you have the correct filter for your model number. Quite often, when replacing the filter, if the filter isn't inserted properly, is "forced" into the housing, etc. the internal bypass tabs can be damaged and will affect the flow of the water and make a hammering noise. Chanda June 17, 2018 Hi thank you for your response to my question earlier. Now I have another situation. I clicked out the filter one more time then put it in again. The refrigerator filter area make the cranking noise then stopped. Now the water is flowing fine out of the water dispenser with the filter in it. It has been working no problem for 4 or 5 days. Does that mean the filter is working? Would water be able to bypass the filter if it is installed and still come out of the water dispenser? Thank you for your help with this. We are looking to get a new filter housing as suggested. I just am wanting to know how water is now coming out.
1 Answer Chanda, There are tabs or "fingers" inside the head assembly. If the filter is inserted incorrectly, if the fingers are bent or damaged the filter head mechanism will make noise.
