Mike May 03, 2016 for Model Number GU1500XTLB1 Heating element broken for this unit. Plastic tub. Part list says discontinued but then refers to part W10518394. Compatibility check however says it will not work. Which is correct? Will it work or not? Thanks.
Michael January 29, 2016 for Model Number WDF310PCAB0 I replaced my heating element but my dishes are still wet.
1 Answer Hello Michael, You need to check the high limit thermostat WP661566 for the heating circuit and check for voltage to the heating element from the control during the heating/heated dry part of the cycle. Read More...
Sonia January 16, 2016 for Model Number WDF530PLYW0 The heating element in my Whirlpool dishwasher was corroded, so I replaced it, but after 2 test runs, it still isn't heating. Suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Sonia, There are only three components that cause this in this case, the heating element W10518394, the high limit thermostat WP661566, and the control W10473200. You can check for 120Vac to the high limit to determine if it or the control has failed. Voltage to one side of this high limit indicates a bad thermostat, no voltage indicated a bad control. This must be tested during the heating part of the cycle as per the tech sheet time chart. Read More...
Troy November 05, 2015 for Model Number GU2400XTPSO I just chatted online to see if there was a replacement heating element for my dishwasher and was told the AP5690151 would work. So I placed the order. When I pulled up your site and the new piece there is a "cross reference tool" but it shows that its not compatible with the GU2400XTPS0? Will it work? If the piece does work you might want to update your site and even the element for my above dishwasher. Instead of showing "not available". If I hadn't bothered to check then that would have been an order you missed out on.
1 Answer Hello Troy, The element recommended by the manufacturer for the model provided is 8563464. I'm sorry but this part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. I' sorry but we cannot guarantee the part you were viewing would be a satisfactory replacement for this model. Read More...
Ron Z October 07, 2015 for Model Number KUDI01ILWHZ KitchenAid dishwasher is 10 years old, and has been acting strange for the past 2 years, if you run it on heavy load cycle it will blow the fuseable link, I replace the link and use the normal cycle it works ok, lately the washer is leaving small food particles on the dishes and a build up of food in the top rack rails, We also experience intermittent trouble of the unit not draining and then later it will just drain all by it self. The most recent problem is at the end of cycle the dishes are still wet and cold, leaving a soap film on everything. I have bought new soap and done the vinegar / baking soda treatment. Thanks in advance for your help Ron
1 Answer Hello Ron. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board has failed and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...

Terry L. July 08, 2015 for Model Number Kenmore 66512093K210 When installing a heating element, Sears recommends using a Rinse Aid to lubricate the seals on the heating element.... is this a good thing to do or necessary? "Lubricate the seals on the leads of the new heating element with a small amount of rinse aid. Push the leads of the new heating element through the holes in the back of the tub. Attach the mounting clips inside the tub to the new heating element."
1 Answer Hello Terry, I have installed hundreds of dishwasher heating elements and have never used anything on these seals. If they seat properly has nothing to do with a lubricant and I would not desire a slick substance near the heaters' retaining nuts. Read More...
