Haggs21 May 31, 2011 for Model Number MAH5500BBW Maytag Neptune M#:MAH5500BBW S#:A5947287CT Starts to spin then stops after about 3 rotations on any cycle. Removed Mot Cont Board and cleaned off a little corosion on one section with a brush and contact cleaner. No Change. Had a 2" flood a few weeks ago. It worked fine after but now is messing up. Whats all do you recomend? Moter, sensor, board??? Whats the Diff in the kits? Why is a board the same $$$ as a motor and a board? How do I get into diagnostics? What codes? Specs? I found 1 listing saying what to do but I dont have those buttons.(Enviro?)
1 Answer Hello Haggs21. If the door is locking, you will need to replace the motor and board with the motor kit 12002039. This kit has both the motor and the motor control board. Hope this helps. Read More...
Keith B. May 05, 2011 for Model Number MAH4000AWQ Basement flooded with 3-4 inches of water. Cleaned up water and tried to use laundry . Washer will fill and then just hum , no drum motion. I looked inside and could see that water had reached the board and possibly motor. Before I put more money into this machine , are there other expensive repairs that I could require? Machine will pump water out if I advance the timer.
1 Answer Hello Keith. If the main board is sending power to the motor control board, then you should be ok with replacing the motor and the board. Check the tub bearing on the machine by turning the tub by hand, and make sure it is not dragging. If it feels good, then the motor and board kit should fix your problem. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
George F. May 03, 2011 for Model Number mah3000aww Motor will not turn over. Shaft just vibrates back and forth even with belt removed. Is this a moto problem or a control module problem? Will this kit probably fix it?
1 Answer Hello Geroge. It does sound like the motor is bad. The kit comes with a new control board and motor. It should fix the problems your having. If the only time your having trouble with the motor is in the spin, you will need to test the balance sensors WP22003302 WP22002044. There are two of the AP4026713 on the machine. One is at the bottom of the tub and the other is on the side of the tub. Also test the door lock spin switch WP22002162. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1.
