Sarah September 10, 2018 Hi there. I'm in need of a new drain pump for my Whirlpool Duet Mod#WFW8400TW02. The part number on the original drain pump is W10130913 but when I look it up on your system, it tells me to order #AP6023956 (Says it replaces the original part #). But it tells me that the original part # is NOT compatible with the part # AP6023956. Please help :) Thank you!
Mick June 04, 2018 for Model Number wfw9050xw00 washer. I need to purchase only a drain pump, not the entire assembly. W10130913-B. Diagrams of pump do not match current pump which only has one male plug. The newer ones show two plugs. I'm not sure which to order for replacement of my bad pump. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Mick, I'm sorry but the complete pump assembly WPW10730972 is the only way the pump is available on this model as per the manufacturer. Read More...
Pete February 20, 2018 for Model Number Mhw5100dw0 I have a Maytag Mhw5100dw0 washer. The "extra rinse" button and "control lock" button do not respond when touched on the front panel, nor do they light when touched. As result, I cannot put the unit into the extra rinse cycle. I placed the unit in self-diagnostic mode and the error codes E2 and F9 displayed. I also unplugged the unit for a time to see if the condition would clear up but this did not help. Is there an simple fix for this?
1 Answer Hello Pete. It sounds like the control panel W10859004 will need to be replaced on the unit. Thank you. Read More...
Geofary December 14, 2017 How can you tell when the drain pump is bad it don't grind or anything gettino a f21 fault and all seems clear
1 Answer Geofary, You would want to test to see if the drain pump is getting 120 vac to it and if it is then the drain pump would be faulty. Read More...
Amy November 14, 2017 for Model Number WFW9050xwoo The drain pump has gone out on our washer. The part number off the part that's actually in the washer is W10130914 however, we are only able to find replacement parts for W10130913. A few places we've looked say that the part we are looking for and item 314 are interchangeable, but before I purchase a 100.00 pump I want to make sure we aren't wasting our time with ordering the wrong pump. From the pictures, they look like they are fine but I am worried about the volt/amp specification to make sure this part is strong enough since I can't find the actual part number I am looking for.
1 Answer Hello Amy, You will need to order WPW10730972 for the model provided as per the manufacturers' parts list. Read More...
Cindy September 16, 2017 for Model Number WFW8300SW05 I noticed when I am done washing and spin the drum to make sure there is no clothes left in, that there is a swishing sound. I had been used to stuffing the machine and was told it would clean better if I didn't do that, so I started to do more loads with less clothes at once. After the washing is completed there is water left under the drum. I checked the drain plug and was basically pretty clean. There was about 3 cups of water left in the machine. When the pump was running it felt hot. I am not sure if that is normal or not. It was warm to the touch. It worked enough to go through all the cycles and complete the washing, but there is some reason it isn't emptying that last little bit under the drum. Prior to this I had gotten a F21 error a couple times. Long Drain. taking longer then 8 seconds to drain. So the tech sheet said it could be either the drain pump or the pressure sw. So should I change out both?
1 Answer Cindy, It is normal for there to be a little water left in the outer tub when the unit is done washing. The inner tub will also have a solution in it which will cause the swishing noise as well. You will want to check to make sure that the drain pump is not clogged. and if the error keeps occurring then the issue will most likely be a drain pump issue. Read More...
Rick May 09, 2017 for Model Number WFW9200SQA12 I purchased drain pump number WPW10730972 that supposedly replaced our current pump # PS11757304 but the wiring clip does not fit properly. The guides are opposite of the stock part. Can I cut the wires and install female push terminals to connect them up and if so, which is the positive and negative side since they are both black wires? Thanks
1 Answer Rick, If you are able to flip the connector over to connect you can do it this way. If it still will not fit then it will not matter which terminal goes to which and you can install the individual wires to the pump motor. Read More...
Dan May 08, 2017 for Model Number WFW8400TW02 I replaced the water pump after having several occasional error code F-21 and one F-33. All subsequent diagnostic tests and wash cycles have not triggered error codes. However, after draining normally for most of the drain cycle, the pump starts pulsing, the drain hose shakes, and you can hear water slowly trickling down the drain. Draining the tub takes much longer than before. I have reinstalled the pump a few times and cannot find any kinks or leaks in the hoses. Any ideas?
1 Answer Dan, Would suggest that you check all the hoses to make sure that they are not clogged up. Also check to make sure that the wiring to the pump is good. The other issue would most likely be a faulty control board. Read More...
Sherman K. May 05, 2017 for Model Number Kenmore 110.47511700 I appear to have an older model of this drain pump. There are no screws holding the filter to the motor. Is it that easy to twist and pull apart the filter from the motor to look at the impeller to see if it is stuck. I do not want to manhandle and break it. There appears to be a small nub that you need to go over to unlock the filter from the motor. Should I push a screwdriver in there and pry the filter over it?
1 Answer Hello Sherman, The pump should have a small locking mechanism that should be depressed while turning the pump. When the pump is rotated about 1/4 turn, it will release from the housing. Read More...
Josh May 04, 2017 for Model Number WFW9200SQA12 I need to replace the drain pump.. I've ordered and received from you guys.. watching the video I saw that the repair man unplugged the machine, and also turned off the water.. Doing this job myself I can not reach the shutoff's behind the units. My washer and dryer are stacked and I'm not physically able to move them on my own. My question is do you really need to turn the water off? If the machine is unplugged it cant and wont draw water right? I have drained all the water out of the tub and drain by taking the drain plug out of the existing pump.. so if I don't have to shut the water off I'm ready to make the swap. THX
1 Answer Hello Josh. As long as you do not do anything to damage the valve or the hoses, then you should be fine not turning it off. Read More...
