Chris June 02, 2014 for Model Number WED5100VQ1 Replaced heating element and thermostat mounted on it. Still no heat. Heating element was bad for sure. What else could it be?
1 Answer Hello Chris. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Joe March 25, 2014 for Model Number AED4475TQ1 My dryer would only work in low heat/fluff cycle and now will not start at all. I already changed out the thermal fuse.
1 Answer Joe, if you've changed out the thermal fuse WP3392519 on the blower housing and the dryer won't start or run, you'll need to check the timer circuits for a "closed" circuit between terminals B and C on the timer, which is power out to the motor, and the door switch terminals Com to NO, with the door closed. This is the neutral circuit to the motor and start switch, if either is "open" the dryer won't start or run. You did check to see that you have 220 - 240 VAC at the outlet and terminal block on the back of the dryer. Read More...
John March 12, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore 11069422801 My dryer wont always turn off unless I unplug it. It has burned up 2 thermal fuses.
1 Answer Hello John, If the unit has burned out 2 thermal fuses, the exhaust duct has an issue. The timer WPW10185976 will have nothing to do with this issue but it could have contacts sticking due to the high heat. Read More...
Jake March 12, 2014 for Model Number LER6620PQ0 I keep hearing a buzzing sound coming from my dryer, but the dryer buzzer is in the off position. Any thoughts as to why or where this is coming from? I have replaced the heating element in the past and I am about to order another one for replacement, but I'm not sure if that might be related.
1 Answer Jake, You will want to check the buzzer switch in the off position to make sure that the switch does not have continuity in the off position. If it does then the switch is bad and would need to be replaced. You will also want to check to make sure that there is nothing caught in the blower wheel of the unit that would cause the noise. The other thing would be the timer buzzing. Read More...

Dale February 17, 2014 for Model Number LER5636EQ0 My whirlpool dryer LER5636Q0 still gets warm but takes several restarts to dry my clothes. I cleaned the Vent from unit to outside Would this be the dryer heating element?
1 Answer Hello Dale. If the unit is heating, it is most likely an air flow issue. Check the blower wheel on the unit and see if it is clogged. Also, make sure there is no kinks in the vent. Read More...
B February 10, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore Series 80 Dryer 11066842501 I am needing to replace all 3 thermostats, and probably the heating element as well. I watched the videos, but my connections are a bit different. I only have 2 wires, (not 3 or 4, and NO orange wire) where the Hi-Limit thermostat connects to the heating element connector. One connects to the top of the Hi-Limit thermostat, the other connects to the right side of the heating element connector. There is no wire that connects to the other side of the heating element connector. What parts do I need in order to replace all these thermostats and heating element?
1 Answer Hello B! The videos are to give you a brief idea of the replacement procedure of that type of part. Your model and part may/will differ. The two thermostats on the element come in a kit as part number 279816, the cycling thermostat is part number WP3387134, and the element is part number 279838. Thanks! Read More...
