It was a really simple fix, and I kick myself for waiting so long to attempt the repair. Following the YouTube video, I had the old motor out and the new one in in approximately 10 minutes. I even felt the satisfaction of having completed a repair project.

Microwave turntable would not spin Charles B. • Uniontown , PA • November 23, 2014
Removed 8 screws from bottom panel on microwave. Pulled two prong plug off old motor. Read supplied voltage off motor decal and tested for it. Deemed motor to be bad and changed it. Works great. After tearing old motor apart it seems a liquid got in there from inside microwave. No seal on motor. Bad design flaw in my opinion.

Microwave turntable motor overheated and melted tray coupler Terry H. • Columbia , MO • May 31, 2018
Obtained the replacement motor and tray coupler from Appliance Parts Pro. Video of the typical replacement was very helpful to show what to expect and how to replace the motor and coupler. The removal of the bottom plate was held in place by several phillips screws. The motor was attached with two torx screws. The electric connection clips to the motor required needle nose pliers to pull them off. The tray coupler was simple to install after the motor was secured and bottom plate was replaced..

Ge model jes1651sj02 microwave turntable would not rotate Frances C. • Burdett , NY • January 14, 2017
When our turntable stopped rotating, I would hear a clicking sound each time I used our microwave, like something was not properly engaging in order to turn the glass tray. Even though our microwave was 10 years old, everything else worked fine. I did a little research on the internet and found a couple YouTube videos that showed replacing the small motor in the bottom of GE microwaves. I am not a mechanical person, but it looked fairly easy, so I decided to try it. The...

Turntable did not turn on our ge under the cabinet microwave Cory S. • Rochester , MN • July 03, 2016
Unplug your microwave. Took the screws off of the bottom of the unit with it still on the cabinet. The whole bottom panel swung down to expose the turntable motor. I took the power cable loose (just pull it off). It was one screw to take the motor out. Word to the wise: DON'T try to take the plastic coupler off before the motor. Their is a tab that holds it in while the motor is in place. If you pry it up you will break it, trust me. ;) Turn the motor out of its housing and it come right out....

Microwave turntable stopped turning Carl E. • Old Mystic , CT • August 23, 2014
I removed the 7 screws on the bottom of the microwave that held the bottom sheet metal piece.
The piece dropped down , exposing the turntable motor. I ordered the parts I needed, the motor and the coupler (which had broken), and when they arrived the next day, I removed the 2 screws which held the motor in place and installed the new motor. I replaced the sheet metal piece and the 7 screw, and then put the coupler in the microwave, pushing it onto the motor. I replaced the glass turntable. ...

Microwave turn table stopped rotating Thomas T. • Willow Grove , PA • September 08, 2015
I googled the make and model, and found the part on AppliancePartsPros.com.
The underside of the oven has a metal grille with numerous openings of various shapes and sizes. There is a rectangle that is punched into this grille, just below the motor. I pried between the vent holes to snap the connections near the perimeter on the punched rectangle. I only did this on three sides. Then pry up the rectangle away from the connected side. Undid the hold down screw, separated the motor from the...

Turntable not spinning Thomas G. • Ottawa , IL • March 19, 2014
Start bye removing the three screws that hold the underside of the microwave up. Once those are undone, the panel pivots down. You then need to un-attach the lights so the panel will totally come off and out of the way. The motor is plainly visible. Remove the power plug and remove the one screw then it twists out of its slot. Install the new motor and reverse the directions.
