Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP3406108
The Door Switch is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It is responsible for detecting whether the dryer door is open or closed. When the door is closed, the switch allows the dryer to operate. You should replace the door switch if it becomes faulty. Causes of a bad door switch can include wear and tear from regular use, electrical failures, or physical damage from repeated opening and closing of the dryer door. A malfunctioning door switch can prevent the dryer from starting or cause it to stop mid-cycle.
Symptoms of a bad door switch include:
- The dryer not starting or responding when the door is closed
- The dryer stopping mid-cycle without reopening the door
- The dryer continuing to run when the door is opened
- Error codes related to the door switch or door lock mechanism
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Part arrived in 2 days, it was the right part and the machine is working the way its supposed to so I'm very happy.
