The repair was fairly straight foward as shown in the video. However, driving the shaft from the bearings took some doing. It required replacing the use of the board with a spare bolt and a 2lb hand sledge. (having an air hammer as reserve, also not a bad idea) I rated this reair as a "1" however I've been an auto mechanic for 40 years. The washer would try to start. The door would lock, but then would get stuck in the phase of start-up where the drum needs to roll around (I assume so it knows what's in there). The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. I removed the dial knob and plate as instructed by the video, removed the front panel of the washer to access the switch. I found the plastic molded bracket that the timer rests on to be broken and the tab on the timer where it is attached by a screw to be broken. I ordered a replacement switch, dial and knob. I replaced the belt and the pump. It now works like it is new again! I am glad that I purchased the belt installation tool. It made replacing the belt very easy. I also purchased the Control Assembly which I did not install. It wasn't needed to repair the washer but I will keep it in case it is needed for future repairs.
