This small clip secures the washer's agitator assembly. It holds components in place so the agitator engages the drive properly, helping restore steady agitation and preventing looseness or rattling during the wash cycle.
Found that by manually spinning agitator one direction it seemed free, but spinning counterclockwise it seemed to stick a little. Pulled dispenser and agitator and found the agitator washer hole was oval rather than round. Replaced the agitator washer and the washer seems to sound normally for now. Not sure if the new agitator washer will eventually grind down due to non-circular action from the transmission, or if the agitator and clip will keep the transmission centered long term. Should... The lid hinge bearing is used for the lid hinges on washers and dryers. When functioning properly, it allows the lid to open and close properly. If this is a problem with the bearing, it could make the lid difficult to move. In some cases, when the lid will not close, it means that the machine will not function correctly. Damaged lid hinge bearings should be replaced as soon as possible. The lid hinge bearings see a lot of work since they are in use whenever the lid of the washer or dryer opens and closes. They could become cracked and broken over time. Replacing the bearings is a relatively simple repair that owners can make on their own. This lid hinge bearing is for use with many models of washers and dryers from Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Roper, Estate, Inglis, Maytag, Admiral, Amana, Crosley, and Magic Chef. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that has been sourced from the manufacturer. The piece is sold individually, so if owners need to replace more than one hinge, they will need to buy multiples.

In the end, with a new coupler. But I relearned old lessons the hard way. The washer is in a rental unit and the tenant complained of no spin. My first intuition was that the coupler failed again because I bought a cheaper one elsewhere a couple of years ago and not the brand name available here at AppliancePartsPros. But we’ll come back to that. Lesson #1: Verify the symptoms firsthand. I dug in right away, popped out the motor and the coupler appeared okay. When I spun it by hand, it turned... Read more

This locking nut is used for many purposes on a range of machines including household appliances. This nut is often used for leg leveling for machines. It will help with vibrations from washers and dryers. If the nut is used for this purpose and goes missing or becomes damaged, it could cause the machine to vibrate more and seem louder.Nuts are made from metal and are built to last a long time. However, there can still be issues that arise. In some cases, the nuts might go missing if they become loose and the machine is moved. They could also corrode over time and need to be replaced. The replacement of the nut is typically a fast and simple repair. The nut is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced from the manufacturer. I looked inside and saw the teeth were worn off the "dogs" so I purchased the Cam Agitator repair kit and a new bolt. Getting the old bolt out was the hardest part since it was worn and rusted. I ended up having to buy a set of socket extensions and a set of stripped bolt sockets so $45 in tools and it took me an hour to get the old bolt out but putting everything back together was a breeze. I was very proud of myself, as a woman, that I fixed this problem myself and didnt have to pay a repair... Read more
