Ice maker stopped working or water dispenser not flowing? This refrigerator water valve controls water to both. Easy 10-20 minute DIY fix with video.
On your chat box with Kelsey, I decided it was probably the valve and so ordered a water valve. It came next day! Before trying to install it, I wanted to confirm whether it was the valve or the icemaker, so I chatted again with Kelsey who gave me a useful test (manually pour water into the icemaker) that confirmed the icemaker was functional. So I thought it surely is the valve, so I removed the old valve according to the very helpful video on your website. When I opened the box with the new... Read more
Ice maker stopped making ice? This complete ice maker assembly resolves no ice production and leaking issues. Easy DIY install with video guide included.
Well, I got online and found several YouTube videos on how to check what was happening. I have a multimeter and tools. I first replaced the external water filter just to make sure it wasn't that, and it needed it. That wasn't the problem. I then removed the water inlet valve which was really easy. I didn't disconnect the water lines but I did unplug the power plug. Using the ohms setting on the meter, I tested the coil of the valve solenoid. It wasn't open. I checked the voltage at the plug... Freezer icing up or fridge not cooling? This defrost thermostat kit fixes refrigerators that won't defrost properly. 10-minute DIY repair with video.
I ordered a freezer temperature control. I ordered from you because parts are certified. Last thing I wanted was to go through the replacement process with a part that didn’t work. I’m not a handy person by nature, and I have zero common sense. I watched the awesome instructional video that you provided with my order several times. Before receiving or even opening the package, I felt that I knew what to expect because I watched the video so many times. Before beginning, I made sure I had as... Read more

Walk into the kitchen on 21 Sep. Eight year old Frigidaire refrigerator appears to be short cycling, controls are nonfunctional. Unplug it for a few minutes, plug it back in, appears to return to normal function. Return to kitchen half hour 45 minutes later it's short cycling again. Panel has codes on it (S or 5 E CE, later that changes to S or 5 Y CE). Research of codes says replace main board and control board. Not sure where this main board is. 22 Sep call appliance repair. Supports the glass crisper cover in your refrigerator. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing. Installs on the refrigerator wall above the crisper drawer.
If you can't pull out the displacement pins on the crisper cover support clips that allow the wall to carry the weight of the cover, slides and drawer, you may need to push those pins in (they fall down the wall) to remove the clip. During the replacement of both front clips, I had one I could remove and one I had attempted to drill a tiny hole in to be able to pull the pin. Ultimately it did not work and needed to be simply pushed in. Do not worry, there is nothing below which the plastic... Read more

Refrigerator not cooling or compressor won't start? A failed run capacitor prevents the compressor from running. DIY repair in 10-15 minutes with video guide.
In short - I replaced the evaporator fan motor and the evaporator fan blade. The Appliance Parts Pros website was extremely helpful to me. Here's how. 1. The site helped me identify that even though my Freezer says it's a Frigidaire, it's actually an Electrolux. 2. The site identified the potential screech causing parts. (I didn't take a chance, I bought all three) It was a worthwhile investment. My freezer is 20 years old so it deserved some help. 3. The site provided guidance videos (not... Read more
Removes odors and keeps food fresh. Replace every 6 months for optimal performance. Located in the door under dairy compartment. Confirm fit by model.
I believe we had two problems. Our gasket was ripped in several places and our drain pan line was clogged. Therefore the water was frozen and backing up into the freezer. Replacing the gasket is an easy job and could possibly be done quickly enough that you don’t have to remove your freezer food items if you don’t discover additional problems during the process. The most time-consuming part is the approximately 40 screws that hold the freezer door shelf panel and gasket to the door itself. ... Read more
Ice maker stopped making ice or leaking water? This ice maker assembly fixes production and dispensing issues. Easy DIY install in about 5 minutes.
When I first searched the AppliancePartsPros.com site for my specific model, the ice maker that appeared in the parts list was not for my refrigerator. So, I bought one from one of your competitors. It arrived and worked but produced ice even more slowly than my original unit, albeit at 0F. So, I went back to AppliancePartsPros.com parts list and browsed completely through it only to find another ice maker that did match mine. It was almost twice the cost, but after installing it, worked... Read more

Illuminates your oven interior so you can monitor cooking without opening the door. Replace when burned out or dimming. Verify fit with your model number.
Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old... Refrigerator making loud noises or not cooling? A worn evaporator fan blade often causes these issues. DIY-friendly repair typically takes 30 minutes.
1. After hearing a loud noise on the freezer side of unit about halfway up, I started investigating what it could be? My conclusion was evaporator motor or evaporator fan blade. One of the signs of this issue was a distinct change in sound when I opened the freezer door. I ordered a new motor and blade, not knowing exactly what it was. 2. I couldn't get water to dispense, so I changed the filter and that wasn't the problem. I ordered a water valve and crossed my fingers. These parts arrived... Read more

Refrigerator not cooling properly? A damaged condenser fan blade prevents airflow over the condenser coils. Quick DIY fix—simply push into place.
I originally ordered the Fan motor from a appliance dealer. I waited for 5 days for it to arrive. In the meantime I scavenge a motor from a junk refrigerator from the dump. It worked while I waited for the motor from the appliance dealer. When I picked it up 5 days later it was the "wrong" part. I was fuming mad. I went online and found you guys and ordered the correct parts in 5 minutes. It arrived in 1 day and a half, "COOL" ! The repair went quick and smooth and now the refrigerator runs... Read more
