Normally, I hire someone to come fix washer or dryer problems as time is limited and if the cost is close or more than the machine, I buy a new one instead. I found a youtube video about replacing the hot water valve in a Samsung washer. It looked pretty easy. I took apart the washer to find both of the weight balancers had broken in 2 and were banging around. They had also caused the boot seal to rip. I removed the broken weight balancers and replaced them along with a new boot seal. There was one small spot with the seal wasn't fully attached to the outer drum so I had to take it back apart to fix that minor error on my part. Otherwise, it was a fairly easy fix. Read more

The error code implies a faulty fill valve. This was not the case for me. Replacing the main PCB assembly solved the problem. I have run two full loads since the repair with no problems. Read more

With all the bouncing around the shocks appeared to be done in but that was not the issue. The key was the balance ring. It had leaked all the fluid out causing all the beads to clump. This caused the drum to wobble wildly and not spin at speed. Getting to the ring to replace it is not a trivial task and took me several hours. I ordered new door gasket, front and rear clamp for gasket and installed them. Read more

This is an easy fix. Just remove the back panel, remove the hose clamp to pull out the old hose, put the new hose on, make sure the clamp is well centered onto the connection, and return the back panel. Make sure to insert the drain hose into the three plastic guides that prevent the hose from moving around. The Samsung factory did not do this on my original hose, which is why it failed, because it was rubbing against the tub support and it wore a hole into the hose. I am going to complain... Read more

Needed to replace washer counter balance. Also order shock absorbers in case they needed to be replaced, fortunately they didn't need replacement and will be returned. I used Appliance Parts Pros many time and always found them to be very helpful and the repair videos are very helpful. Read more

We are moving soon. In checking, I found that a front loading washing machine tub must be stabilized using shipping bolts. I found the correct items on line at AppliancePartsPros.com. "Chris" of your staff was very helpful. He informed me that my washer required only 3 shipping bolt assemblies, instead of the four I expected to buy. When I opened the rear cover and check the temperature sensor, I noticed the wire connection was damp. I dried it up with a hair dryer and it worked again for a few days. Then the problem came back. Washer said error no drain. Cleaned the filter and still no drain. So the next step was to check the hose for any debris and when I went to pull the hose off it broke, at the same time I found the check valve flap broke in the drain pump and it was blocking the hose. So I replaced the check valve on the drain pump and replaced the hose. Read more
