Supports the refrigerator door hinge for smooth opening and closing. Replace this pivot block if it's cracked, worn down, or broken to restore proper alignment.
We turned off the circuit breaker. We then removed the light cover and then the control panel. We disconnected the Keyboard, Utah, plugged in the new one and turned the breaker on to see if everything worked. We realized that we did not need a new jazz board so that is being returned. The old Keyboard was removed, the new one attached and all the parts were put back. The frig works fine now at the recommended settings of zero and 38F. Read more
No water from dispenser or ice maker? The water inlet valve controls flow to both. Typical DIY repair takes 30-45 minutes with basic tools.
I ordered a new solenoid valve set and watched the online video of the replacement process. So after emptying my freezer and fridge, removing the doors and freezer drawer, so I could mover the fridge out of its cove, I discovered after taking the panels off the rear, that my fridge is different than that shown in the video. I went back online and discovered in one of the exploded views of the cabinet there is a panel inside the refrigerator which can be removed after taking the shelves out of... Read more

Structural frame that supports crisper drawers and holds the glass shelf above them. Replace if cracked, broken, or damaged to restore proper drawer support.
Looked up parts based on fridge model number, watched videos, and replaced parts using just a few tools... easy. Parts came quick, well packaged. After 16 years, plastic parts deteriorate and break. The fridge was operating fine, but the drawers and covers were failing. Much cheaper to replace a few parts ($$-$$$) than buy a new fridge ($$$$). The new parts matched up exactly to old ones. The videos were very helpful, but not perfect... for the Crisper Frame, there was a structural metal... Read more
Refrigerator shelf frame that supports glass or wire shelves inside the fridge. Replace if cracked, broken, or warped to restore proper shelf support.
No instructions are included with either piece, which makes installation take more time and care. Tools needed: Small standard flat blade screwdriver, box knife or other knife with at least a 2" long blade, super glue. Remove the old main crisper frame: 1. Remove old main frame by lifting upward and outward. 2. Remove the center rail from the frame. May require bending of the main frame to remove it. 3. Remove the crisper front panel by unsnapping from frame. This is easily done by... Read more
Refrigerator not cooling or control panel blank? This electronic control board manages temperature, defrost cycles, and compressor operation. DIY repair.
A relay in my refrigerator would periodically click off, causing the compressor motor to stop and the LEDs on the front panel to turn off. This became more frequent until it finally "blanked out" permanently. No cooling, no lights on the front panel, no water or ice, only the inside lights worked. Isolating the problem to the control board was easy, and replacing the control board was very easy thanks to the videos and previous customer reports available here. After installing the board, I... Fix a noisy or non-cooling refrigerator with this condenser fan motor. Solves overheating compressor issues. DIY-friendly repair with video guide.
I bought the listed condenser fan motor for my Maytag refrigerator. Access to the condenser fan is by removing sheet metal screws of bottom panel with 1/4 in. nut driver. Condenser fan is on left side of rear access area. Remove electrical connector by pressing-in connector release tab with thumb fingernail and pulling on connector. Remove three mounting screws with 5/16 nut driver. Work fan out to the right past the compressor. I used a pair of pliers, as a lever, behind the plastic fan blades... Read more

Ice dispenser not working or only dispensing sometimes? The auger motor powers ice ejection from the storage bin. DIY-friendly repair in under an hour.
I first thought it was the auger in the ice container so I changed it and it was not the problem. I then talked to ApplianceParts customer service that it might be the yoke on the motor that turned the auger or even the motor itself even though it worked. I ordered the parts, the yoke was supposed to be able to be changed by itself but mind would not come off the motor shaft so I had to cut it off just to remove it from the unit so I had to change the motor anyway because of this. So I advise... Read more
Replacement mounting screw for securing handles, panels, and internal components. Needed when original screws are stripped, lost, or broken during repairs.
This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

Refrigerator making noise or not cooling? A broken condenser fan blade prevents air circulation. This friction-fit part installs in minutes—no tools needed.
I pulled the refrigerator out, removed the back panel, disconnected the fan motor. I did not know how hard or easy it would be to remove the fan from the motor shaft so I removed the motor with the fan attached and then removed and replaced the fan. This would not be necessary if you have a lot of strength, but if you need leverage to push the fan down on the shaft you might want to disconnect and remove the motor fan assembly too. After replacing the motor assembly and reconnecting I tested by... Read more
Mounting screw for refrigerator ice maker assembly. Secures components to maintain structural integrity. Replace if lost, stripped, or corroded.
Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. The most irritating part was figuring out what parts to order. The drawing of the refrigerator door (Drawing # 4) used to figure out what parts to order was not clear. I paid $8... Read more
Replacement water filter cover for refrigerators. Snaps into place to protect and secure the water filter. Replace if cracked, broken, or latch damaged.
I changed the filter since it had been a long time since last being installed. Still no ice. I used a hair dryer to warm the water line entering the top of the ice maker in case it was frozen. Still no ice. I then ordered and replaced the water inlet valve. Still no ice. I then ordered and installed the ice maker motor module by following the replacement video that was provided when I ordered the part. After the wiring harness was reattached I heard the tray begin to fill with water. We... Read more
Ice maker not filling or water leaking inside your fridge? This water inlet valve controls flow to your ice maker and dispenser. Takes about 25 minutes.
The dual inlet valve was the problem. The hardest part of the repair was moving the refrigerator so we could unplug it. The whole job took about 25 minutes and that includes the time we spent emptying and reorganizing the shelves. I love AppliancePartsPros.com. We have used this website to fix our oven, washer, dryer and now the ice maker. Thank you AppliancePartsPros! We only used one screwdriver and that was only used to open the back panel of the refrigerator. Read more
