I tested the fan outside of the freezer with an adapted direct plug-in cord and it ran fine. I tested the controller tsd it was within the good range along with the run capacitor and it tested good as well. I then tested the compressor resistance, it tested good, although the compressor could have been mechanically bad, it wasn't and I don't know of a way to test for it. The stores are cutting all the corners they can to be competitive in price. I read a comment that another person did the same thing and was trying to order one. They come in at least 3 sizes so be careful that you order the right one. I went to appliancespartscamp.com as they had a scale that you could look at and tell the exact size they were then ordered them from ApplicancePartsPros.com as I have used them before and had good results.
